where are those models from?
where are those models from?
Mostly Black Ops 3 with some parts of random other models from various sources.
I dont get why no one is modelling modular models. Naked ragdolls, with ragdolized torsos/pants/hats/shoes all scalable , stretchable, inflatable, then you get TONS of options in a pose with little effort, especially when u have templates ready

That sounds like it'd be a fuckton of work and also a huge pain in the ass to actually work with when posing.
not with ragdoll mover
not with ragdoll mover
I don't see how that would change anything? If you make it bonemergable, that brings up a lot of problems when you want to change things after first setting it up and I'm pretty sure issues arise when loading saves with it and also not to mention that every part of those would have to be made in such a way that they each fit with every single other piece, which would be extremely difficult.
Sounds like there'd be a ton of clipping.
I'm really conflicted, I want to buy Arkham Knight, but I also want to buy the Division, motherfuck

Red Menace already makes stuff like that, other than the scalable, stretchable shit.
the only thing is they are nude models.

those kind of nude models.
they are pretty useful for proper stuff too though, I used his zoey model for this;

And Jimmies used it in this;

those vindictus ragdolls are the closest you will get to having 'modular models'
Yeah, they work really well for whatever you want them to generally. Honestly I think it'd work.
Isn't red's stuff pretty shit, though? Cause someone showed me his skull unit ports and they looked fucking bad.

Afaik, no. Unless you're talking about his Quiet port, in which case she isn't really a skull unit.
It was the skull unit for certain. I saw a pic of them, and they're on the workshop too I think. Their smoothing groups were all wonky with black splotches everywhere, the textures were muddy as fuck, and there was so much phong that it looked as if they were dipped in vaseline.
A lot of people who make models for gmod/sfm either don't understand what clothes look like or don't understand how to use phong and rimlighting. In their minds, shinier = more cinematic/realistic.
I know a lot of my stuff is perhaps a little too matte, but I'd sooner something just not be shiny enough than look like it's been coated with every kind of lubricant known to mankind.
This was an interesting watch. Worth checking out for screenshots.

I started the Division and I like it mostly. The problem is that it's obviously meant to be played with other people which is a shame because I like solo play and it's also more convenient generally. I don't like the rpg route they took very much, the enemies are total bullet sponges and I'm just imagining how amazing this could've been if they did traditional Tom Clancy style where bullets actually hurt. There's also way too many ui elements, takes away from the atmosphere of nigh empty nyc. Also this happened 90% of the way through one mission

I wonder when Ubisoft will release a finished game
[editline]21st March 2016[/editline]
will they even figure it out

How will they get their DLC revenue then?

Also, I'm noticing some things from porting MGO assets w/ FMS:

Models:
- certain .fmdl files won't load properly and crash FMS:
An error has occurred.
Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the
size of the collection.
Parameter name: index
- Bone names are named incorrectly on certain models, such a chest gear and headgear.
Textures:
- INI Builder won't work with MGO texture files; it crashes when done.
- Ftex files won't have texture data without .ftexs files.
I thought Toy Soldiers War Chest was an okay Ubisoft game. It had GIJoe and Cobra as playable themes. They really missed the ball though, they included Assassin's Creed instead of Skeletor to counter the He-Man army.
I only have Toy Soldiers / Cold War on Xbox 360 because I grabbed them for free

And The Division is somehow not a finished game?
Does anyone here plays The Mean Greens - Plastic Warfare? It seem pretty cool.
some fucking loser was vaping in the student lounge. it got so bad that the smell started to hurt my nose and the """"vapor"""" made me unable to see shit.
why does vaping have to be a thing?
Because fucking hipsters.
if that loser vapes near me again
im gonna smoke a massive papi cuban cigar infront of him to show him how much of a fucking lightweight he is
Seeing people in public who vape is such a challenge of endurance not to laugh because they always look like such a terrible, self-enlightened piece of shit.

Because some people like the taste of it or need to smoke but don't want to be damaging their lungs? I swear, all the stupid complaining about people using those things is more sad than what that complaining makes people who use those things seem to be. Also I don't know what the fuck he was actually doing but it doesn't sound like he was actually vaping, those things barely have any smell and their smoke dissipates almost right after it comes out.
well you wanna know what I have to say about that?
*blows papi cigar smoke at your face*
good smell or not, just keep me out of the blast radius
