The 10 seconds you have a needle jammed in your gums while at the dentist are the longest 10 seconds ever. This is why i hate needles.

apparently ehlers-danlos syndrome can randomly make local anesthetic just not work sometimes or only last for like ten minutes, especially with dental anesthetic not looking forward to getting my wisdom teeth done

Didn't feel a damn thing. Even the IV went in with little more than a pin-prick. Just find a quality oral surgeon.

A single shot, pretty much what everyone else needs. As I found out years later, my body requires a stronger dosis of juice so it actually works. Five most painful minutes of my fucking life.

If you nip it in the bud it can be just some small incisions under local anasthesia and you're good. If you wait too long like me it becomes this barbaric procedure of cutting and breaking bone, garroting the teeth until they shatter, and removing the pieces. Buuuut most of this insanity is done with the patient unconscious. Weren't you awake during yours Fort?

As soon as Kratos began to break and remove one of his nails, though, I had to leave the room. After that small surgery, I can't stomach anything that involves nails and pain. Whilst we're on the topic of gross foot stuff, I had a toenail fall off, once. I don't know what I did to my feet but both my big toes had blood beneath the nailbeds like I'd dropped something heavy on my toes, one of them fell off and regrew eventually but the other recovered. It was surprisingly nowhere near as bad as it sounds.

Since we're talking about feet, I think I lost the count of how many times I broke my toenails while playing football because I kicked the ground instead of the ball, most kids here used to play footballs shoeless, so these sort of things were common and they still are. Oh and having to take a shower after all that was agonizing. Good times.

I can understand the problem with the term (especially if you've had experiences of close relatives and cancer), but when it's not just being plastered all over the place by idiots because it's supposedly hilarious, it's a fitting word to describe certain things with. I can't think of any good examples right now, but there have been fads or things that have become popular in communities on the internet that could be fittingly described as 'cancerous' since they spread rapidly and have a serious negative effect on the community. Then you get people just saying things like "five nights at freddies is cancer", which is just stupid people doing what is expected of them.

I dunno it just doesn't sit right with me. fitting or not it just comes off as extraordinarily edgy. In general I think most internet/white collar terms are shithouse "Toxic" being another one. Like what's with all this pseudo-intellectual bullshit if you want to call someone a fuckhead call them a fuckhead don't sound all moral-y superior just because you've found a ironically more offensive synonym, because let's face it most insults that include swear words are gibberish when you translate them to what they actually mean. And instead of calling it cancer why not just call it a shit fad/trend.

You wouldn't find it disrespectful or toxic if a doctor used it, so I see no problem personally when it's used in correct context and not just by someone being an edgy shitlord. To each their own, though.
