Couple of things I did quickly (or kinda quickly anyway):

(And yes, those are conscripts in the second pic, or more accurately simka's Gulf War yanks reskinned to look like them)
^ you should zoom in with your camera more, that way you can capture your subjects with more pixels and less of the large containers/walls.
I never though about HL - Hitman crossover. Awesome.
^ you should zoom in with your camera more, that way you can capture your subjects with more pixels and less of the large containers/walls.
Point taken. I've only really started experimenting with camera zooming very very recently and it's probably going to take a while to become instinctive, but at least commentary like yours gives some extra motivation.
I also have been interested in nabbing a better GFX card sooner or later in order to be able to use the 8x AA setting rather than being stuck at 4x AA as I am at the moment, or simply tricking my PC out to make the 'use the 'poster' command and then downsize' trick more viable (as it is, I simply end up having to wait a while to start making new poses, which may not be the most terrible thing in the world but still);however, given I'm going off to uni soon (and bear in mind I'm living in tuition fees England rather than Scotland or some other place) that's probably gonna remain on the backburner for a while longer.
^ I use 4xAA, don't really see that big of a difference there to be honest. And yea, when you use the camera, you should by default, instinctively, hold right click and zoom in.
And yea, when you use the camera, you should by default, instinctively, hold right click and zoom in.
And press the Shift key after zooming to remove unintentional camera rotation.
(At least, I think it's Shift? My muscle memory isn't sure right now)

I don't know to be honest. I look at other people's pics on FP which presumably were made with 8x AA and then I look at my own screen with 4x AA and I do see a few more jaggies. Then again, my mind could be playing tricks on me due to a lack of DoF, lamp lighting etc.

Interesting tip.
Anyways, have some content. It's quite dark, but that's how dusk works:

decided to fool around with models i never use
Hey I was thinking of starting a story-driven thread in the vein of like Espionage Wars or World Divided. The idea is that it would be set in 1940s New York City and would be in the style of like a noir crime thriller story. People would create individual characters rather than entire factions; you could create like a ruthless street thug, wise guy mafioso type, corrupt cop or hard boiled detective. There'd be some sort of central story thread that everyone could get in on or ignore, and players' contributions would drive the plot forward. Would this be something that you guys might possibly be interested in? I wouldn't want to start something like this if people wouldn't be interested in it. Tell me what you guys think. If it wouldn't work as a player-driven thread then maybe it would just be a concept thread like this but dedicated to 40's noir style screens.
So basically Mafia: GMod edition?

I remember this one from way back. I really love the posing and angle on this one despite how old it is.

I doubt it'll last long because people would have to reskin/hack their own models, and people would to be constantly acti e in that thread. Plus some people would get mad about other people's actions ("Hey, you can't beat me up without my premission!"). What could maybe work is to keep this threads theme and have a separate thread that's rebels vs combine. A user will have to pick a side, then choose or create a unit to control. It'll follow some rules of Espionage Wars rules (can't completly wipe out a unit, etc.) This could work because the same old rebel and combine models and still be used, and maps are plentiful for these kind of scenes.

That's actually not a bad idea at all. Hey if anyone wants to make this idea a reality then hit me up and we can work something out.

Check your PMs
I'd love to be in on that Rebel v Combine thing. Sounds interesting.
I would join this too. At least we wouldn't need to make our own models.
I wrote a WIP set of rules and sent them to Volf, we might work on them and hopefully this becomes a reality.
