In recent weeks, the Syndicate has been busy expanding influence within China. They have set up many outposts and hideouts scattered around the eastern end, slowly making their way to the west end. Training camps are also being constructed in isolated areas, although only one has been finished and is operating as of yet.
[img_thumb]http://orig02.deviantart.net/6f34/f/2016/102/8/c/gm_black_v20031_by_kokyal0rd-d9yobvg.jpg[/img_thumb]
In terms of foreign relations, a recent alliance has been founded by the Syndicate and their new south american friends, the Platine commonwealth. Their paths aligned due to common interests: money and power. The countries openness towards new industries has given the Syndicate a place where they can expand and manufacture weapons, which they will distribute to themselves as well as their allies, becoming one of the commonwealths suppliers. Mr. Xin feels confident in this new friendship, and hopes that the two forces can work together to achieve together what they possibly could not alone. At the moment, the Syndicate is just beginning operations, starting in the capital, Corrientes.
[img_thumb]http://orig10.deviantart.net/df13/f/2016/102/8/e/rp_bloc42_v20000_by_kokyal0rd-d9yobv0.jpg[/img_thumb]
General 'Schmerzkopf' has deployed the 44th URR to Moscow. A sniper battalion with high efficiency, dedicated to study their enemies to the details. In this case they have been training for a month to recognize Tbonian officers and surviving in a enviorment like Moscow, seeing as the 44th are highly independent and will lurk around in the ruins for weeks at a time if necessary.
Here's another preview of my faction. Not very good but I wanted to put out a pose real quick of them.

You'll have to turn bac-" "I command all these men, Lieutenant. I am the very definition of Q-Clearance and I have very special orders for the Grand Marshal. Now allow flight access or I will relieve you of your command."

Close to 20 minutes later

"Attention all commanders of the Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Kaliningrad, and General Operation Red Winter forces. This is Senior Agent of the Tbonian Committee of State Security Randal Chekov, at approximately seven o'clock this evening the Joint Chiefs of the Tbonian People's Military have come to a conclusion that Operation Red Winter has failed. All Tbonian forces are to evacuate from the European side of Russia to the designated rallying points on your maps, Russian Governmental forces are deemed unreliable assets and should be treated as hostile. I say again, do not trust Russian Governmental Forces and proceed to your designated rallying points. May God be with you all and God Bless the Tbonian Republic. Agent Chekov out." I don't suppose anyone is willing to rig a pair of gloves for me?
The WLA troops arrive in Daara. They find a little resistance. But they known that the AWA insurgent know the terrain. They're a great threat, will attack, the WLA must to be ready and will support the allied troops.
You could try posing them being a little more tactical. All the pictures I've seen of your guys just seem to involve them standing around in huge groups in the open. Easy pickings for anyone with an automatic weapon who happens to get the drop on them.
In the early hours of Wednesday morning, elements of the Tbonian 90th Airborne division conducted an assault upon and subsequently took control of Moscow's Sheremetyevo International Airport.
[t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/9988278/EspWars2016/GS/activity/apr_ophomecoming_1.jpg[/t]
Airport security forces made a spirited attempt at a defense, but were ultimately subdued by what appeared to be Grey Storm forces. No fatalities have been reported, and the guards were set free once the airport had been secured.
[t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/9988278/EspWars2016/GS/activity/apr_ophomecoming_2.jpg[/t]
By mid-morning, the airport was under joint Grey Storm-Tbonian control. Flights were diverted and any aircraft still on the tarmac were grounded. At around 10am, several large, military transport aircraft began to land at the airport, unloading additional Grey Storm airborne troops and anti-aircraft weaponry. The airport is currently being fortified, and more cargo aircraft have been arriving throughout the day. Experts speculate that the airport is to be used to facilitate the withdrawal of Tbonian forces in Moscow to their new territories in the east.
[t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/9988278/EspWars2016/GS/activity/apr_ophomecoming_3.jpg[/t] To clarify for those of you who forgot or don't know, the Tbonian 90th Airborne division doesn't exist. It's a bunch of GSAF rangers in Tbonian uniforms who came to help defend Moscow incognito because reasons. Reasons that don't really matter anymore, hence the lack of subtlety in this part of the operation.
Retreat! Tbonian forces have begun their mass evacuation from Western Russia to their various unspecified rallying points in the East, forces in the North evacuating through the Tbonian Navy and various roads through the Urals. However the bulk of Moscow forces have either started moving to the joint GSAF-Tbonian airlift at Sheremetyevo International Airport or have just bypassed it completely to use roads and other means of travel. Forces in St Petersburg have diverted to the North or have gone strait through to the Urals, while any forces West and South of Moscow have been making their ways towards the Urals through MSRs and side roads. Despite much protest, Tbonian President Hermann Kirov was evacuated via helicopter to an unspecified location by his security detail under Grand Marshal Kristopher Bulganin's orders.

Pictured: Elements of Tbonian Army Group Moscow making their way through the Urals

In the morning hours today the Tbonian Presidential Compound in Moscow was attacked by the Union after reports of weakened security at the location. The defenders outside were overrun by Union Conscritps and retreated back inside, where they'd have to face veteran Union troopers.

Union Oberst: Your men are dead, where is the President? Why is his office empty? Tbonian General: Our president has a way of out smarting your little tunnelvisioned brains. Union Oberst: We are not the regular idiots you fight on the streets, General. We blew open the panic room, where did you evacuate him too? Hmmpf, it does not matter. We have our methods to make you speak. Just you wait and see, General.

Tbonian General: I know all about your methods, I have....encountered them before. There is a reason why I volunteerd to stay behind. I'm afraid there is nothing here for you, but the end of the line.
Well, I've decided to pop back after dropping out twice now from V3 and V4; Third times a charm and such. I'll be working on a new Faction, with better editing skills for pictures (Though nothing grand). (Sorry if I'm detracting from the flow and such)

So I was thinking the other day and how would you guys feel about an Espionage Wars spinoff set in the Cold War?
So I was thinking the other day and how would you guys feel about an Espionage Wars spinoff set in the Cold War?
I've thought about and proposed that exact thing on more than one occasion. It'd be cool, but wouldn't really work. If you want to have it progress through the years of the cold war, the person running it is going to have to make events out of all the things that happened in that particular year. That's a lot of work, and there's nowhere near enough models to do it. That also means it's going to end eventually. If you set it in a particular year then it'd work slightly better, but then for all intents and purposes it'd just be the same as this thread but with a severe limitation on the amount of models you're allowed to use.

SABRE International Security & Investment Group is a British Private Military company, which also holds considerable assets in the British, French and German financial system, allowing for considerable spending and flexibility when it comes to expense versus practicality; at the cost, more often than not, to customers of the banking groups in which SABRE dips in to for funds. The most notable region of control for the group is in the United Kingdom, thanks to its heavy buying of Industry; both civil and military, including banking groups both small and large. SABRE holds numerous security contracts in the European continent; such as Southern Germany, Hungary and Serbia. Along with the European continent Contracts, SABRE holds security contracts in Cyprus, keeping vigil over the contested border with Turkey, with considerable investment. The Founder of the company, Sir George Raines; an eccentric banker from a privileged rural English family, drew inspiration for the move from Banking to Private Military ventures from his brief service in the British Army, during the Falklands War; the inspiration he drew extended from training, to uniform; even down to armaments. Despite the somewhat unpleasant feeling of being issued dated equipment from the rank and file employed in the company, the functionality of the forces deployed by SABRE are noteworthy. Concern with the New German Republic has been brought up in board meetings multiple times, but no firm decision has been made as to what stance the Company would adopt with the groups expanding influence and territory. The Companies Most impressive asset; is the former Royal Navy Aircraft carrier HMS Illustrious, now modified to accommodate the companies large fleet of NHIndustries NH90s, after it was saved from the scrap merchants by a somewhat sentimental purchase by Sir George Raines, upon reading in the Daily Mail of the vessels imminent retirement and sale for scrap. The Vessel, whilst expensive to operate on a day to day basis, has been modified with some basic cost cutting measures, and economic fuel consumption rates to accomdate the carrier in to the Budget that the company set down for its naval forces; the heli-carrier swallowing a large chunk of this established budget. Nice to see some thought applied to acquiring something like an aircraft carrier for once, instead of just plucking Nimitzes and Kuznetsovs out of thin air when they're needed.
Welcome!
Welcome!
Was here in V3 and V4; dropped out though, before I did anything worthwhile; Hopefully this time, I'll end up getting attacked by almost everyone :v:
Nice to see some thought applied to acquiring something like an aircraft carrier for once, instead of just plucking Nimitzes and Kuznetsovs out of thin air when they're needed.
We really need more warship models tbh
There's not a lot of non-ww2 ship models around in general, though. You can't port things if they don't exist in the first place. My carrier came from some flight simulator and the quality really makes that obvious. It'd also be nice if there were more good sea maps and if posing naval scenes wasn't such a pain in the ass.
