It's not very economical to have two MBTs, though. Especially seeing as they both use completely different calibres and types of ammo. The T-72 uses ammo where the projectiles and propellant are separate because that's how the autoloader works, and the Leopard just uses conventional shells. I've been re-designing the GSAF's armor so they're all based around the BMD-3 and can share a lot of parts. The MBT is the only exception, but only because it needs to be slightly heavier-duty than a BMD-3. I was seriously considering keeping the Sprut-SD or replacing it with a different light tank alongside the MBT that I never use. but for the sake of keeping it simple and streamlined, I'm ditching the Sprut and any concept of a light tank and just making the MBT as lightweight as possible. It'll probably end up somewhere in the middle between light tank and MBT status.
In all honesty, I chose the M113 and M60A1 mostly because I like the looks of 'em, and the fact that they were the mainstay vehicles for US and South Vietnamese forces in Vietnam, arguably one of the more interesting conflicts of the 20th century; not out of any practical sense, but out of simple love of those vehicles. Sure, the Patton's not really the best tank available, especially when compared with some of the tanks and mechs, if anyone does actually use them anymore, used by the other factions, but gosh darn it, how can you say no to that beautiful body?; the turret, the treads, it's aaalll good.
Don't try justifying the Patton to me. It's my favorite tank. I know it's dated and was probably not great in its heyday, but It's the prettiest tank around. The only reason I'm not using it for the GSAF is because it doesn't respond well to being dropped out of the back of a plane.

That's how tanks work, right?
It's not really ideal to have to put your tanks back together like an oversized lego set every time you do an air drop, though.
They're incredibly common in the real world, so it's not unrealistic that they'd end up in private hands. Especially as more and more countries phase them out for things that aren't total deathtraps and maintenance nightmares.
Can confirm. On base here, the medics use M113's. They're tan, and have large red crosses on the side.

In the decaying remains of a FloundCo laboratory in Liverpool, SABRE CEO George Haines examines the recently acquired property and the contents within, the original intention being to re-develop the site for office and lab space, has discovered within a valuable prize; something which SABRE engineers will be working tirelessly upon to reverse engineer, analyse, and manufacture on their own property and holdings.
I must say that I'm surprised by the amount of new people/new factions that recently emerged
I must say that I'm surprised by the amount of new people/new factions that recently emerged
Cannon fodder, mate. I made my faction with the express intent of being a generic, cannon fodder faction that gets bloody chunks ripped out of it whilst staying alive on an influx of cheap equipment and immeasurable amounts of gun-toting idiots, getting blasted to pieces, shot to shit, stabbed, beaten, whatever the opposing faction fancies the most; not that many factions use blades. I came back with a generic faction all for the sake of being able to practice Gmod posing, maybe even get to grips with texture and mesh work while I'm at it, and kill time. I find that works as an approach.
i'm liking all this new content a lot :v:
All this activity is so refreshing.
Europe,First Baltian Republic, Grand Senate
Grand Chancellor Juozas Valinskas the reason why Baltians are neutral in recent conflicts ,got elected for third time by majority of senators supporting him. Mr,Valinskas during his last two times as Grand Chancellor improved Baltian Economy and reduced the unemployment. Many baltian citizens don't really like him that much because of cancelling free healthcare, education and his love for rich high class. Many people see him as coward and ignorant to foreign politics. Many people think he better just be minister of economy not a grand chancellor.
It's just like V1 all over again. Except with less zombies and dinosaurs, thankfully.
The first sales of weaponry go up in Eastern Europe, albeit with an emphasis on skirting around the besieged city of Moscow, with the belated response to the rising tensions in the region from the Smokkelaars Alliansie being due to uncertainty about the safety of trade in the region Nevertheless, determined salesmen begin selling their products with the odd "charismatic" spiel, the likes of which can be seen above.
Also, I missed the whole zombies and dinosaurs thing. Sounds like it was interesting.

It was stupid. But it was retconned quickly (or in the case of dinosaurs, ignored), so it never technically happened.

You can still be a country, but i'd rather you leave the capital cities of countries alone. Or at least try to reshape your territory so the baltic states can still exist. [editline]17th April 2016[/editline] And before any of you say it, Tbonia was never intended to be in Moscow. Whoever made the map extended his turf to envelop it without consulting him.
Sure, no problem well i did ar first intended for baltia be around the parts of former lithuania latvia territories mostly based around kaliningrad region. .
On an unrelated note, your country flag is just marked as "Europe" and it confuses the hell out of me. Good-Neutral. The Orion Justice System was founded over a year ago by a large amount of PMCs and common people over their frustration of the conflicts in recent years and a hatred of criminal activity. They decided to make it a mission to uphold justice by any means with the small but increasingly growing number of 6,000 men and women. They are beginning to deploy and stop the fighting in disrupted territories and help the victims of these wars. However they have not yet seeked out alliances or pacts with other factions that seek the same or similar mission. Previously they have not entered the fighting but supplied rations and medical supplies to the civilian populations in other areas, they realized it was not enough and want to restore order.
