SABRE and Kraaivuur International meet in Vredenburg, to discuss a peaceful resolution to the fighting, at the behest of the South African government. Despite the meeting going on for 7 hours, little
is established and nothing is agreed upon. The meetings are expected to continue until a peaceful resolution is established; with SABRE demanding the return of stolen property and compensation for
the expense of its contractors, and with Kraaivuur demanding an immediate withdrawl, retaining of documents and compensation for the loss of its own contractors.

Meanwhile, the former FloundCo labs in Liverpool complete minor renovations, with the rest of the facility awaiting conversion to suit the needs of the lab staff on site. Synthetic muscle, blood plasma
and the compatability of it with the numerous components intended for the Bipedal units the company hopes to manufacture over the coming months. Progress has been steady, but due to minor delays;
the project overall will experiance difficulty as time progresses, though the board estimates completion in vague terms, the most used being "Shortly".
My precious South Africa, being torn apart by these amateurs.
Leviathan wouldn't take this sitting down.
You know, if they still existed.
You should come back.
There should be a clean slate for blacklisted players for each new thread honestly.
*Except for cooperevans.
I think the whole blacklist idea for a picture based forum roleplay is pretty dumb, it makes the entire thread look elitist for barring certain people from participating.
Volf has improved a lot since getting booted, even admitting and apologizing for his previous behavior, and I think he has every right to come back.
Coopersvan was obnoxious but the way this thread reacted to him wasn't any better, ie hoping he gets shot, telling him to fuck off.
Unless someone does something extremely heinous like leak models or just can't function, then the blacklist doesn't serve any purpose except making this look like a clubhouse.

In my defense; Kraaivuur pissed in my teapot.
I can agree that Volf has improved and that the cooper situation was handled poorly but I don't see how it's elitist. Literally only two users have ever been blacklisted and there were reasons behind them, mainly that alot of users here (including you) wanted somekind of solution.
I'd like to remind you that in the past we've only ever asked people to rework or flesh-out their factions rather than outright booting them so we're far from being a "clubhouse" as you call it.

Also Theo why are you disagreeing? Weren't you one of the guys who hopped on to the cooper hate wagon?

I did, but I dont dislike the guy anymore, the few times he does post on FP he is usually a ok dude, I am not a part of ESP wars so I dont really have say in this but I have been following it for a while.
As the person who put Volf on the blacklist, I think I need to weigh in on the matter.
I don't doubt that he's changed, time and experience can change anyone. With him being OP for Rebels VS Combine, it's given him an insight on how this system works. He's apologized for his actions twice, and as some of you said, his posting habits have gotten better. But I feel like I need to say this: Anyone who got put on the blacklist was put there for a reason. The decision to do so was also unanimous.
HOWEVER. As we have seen, he's had a change of character and has improved very much since then. His posting habits have gotten better, and his attitude as well. And like I said, him being in charge of another thread similar to this has shown him how this system works. So I think the best way to deal with this issue is to call a vote.
Should Volf be allowed to rejoin? Should he not? You all know the drill. Agree for yes he should, disagree for no he shouldn't.
If you don't want your vote to be public, you can just shoot me a PM.
Also, for the record, I know i'm gonna get a lot of flak for saying this but i'm only gonna take votes from people who are a part of this thread.

I don't really know the guy, and I wasn't here to witness him getting put on the blacklist, but he seems like an OK sort. The more, the merrier, right?
I wrote up the timeline for the Moscow crisis, but the wiki is being shit and I'm tired of trying to get it to work so I'll sort it out later.

Peace negotiations have concluded between SABRE International and Kraaivuur, with SABRE withdrawing from South African maritime waters on the coast of Cape Town, after having retreived its ground
forces. SABRE has accepted reparations from Kraaivuur, in return for not pursuing the stolen documents that led to the ignition of the conflict. LHD-01, with all forces from South Africa retrieved, will be
proceeding to Cyprus to return units leached from the garrison at Cyprus, putting at ease the concerns of a lax security detail that the Cypriot government voiced, before heading to the United Kingdom
for refuelling, staff re-organisation and being put back to sea.
-snip because raisins are sour-
I greatly appreciate you guys deciding to allow me to come back to the thread. If I come up with a new faction I'll likely be less active than I was in the past because of the other two threads I'm working on plus real world responsibilities, but I definitely won't be taking this second chance for granted.
Barely any of my poses have ever involved gunfire because i can't edit for shit and the muzzleflashes look terrible.
I think muzzle-flashes are pretty easy to do, you just have to be minimalist about it.
[t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/255920778/wd4.jpg[/t]
What's a pain in the dickhole is dirt and shit being kicked up by bullets.
Most of the time when you're firing a gun all you get is a puff of gases/smoke from the barrel, muzzleflashes are only so prominently used because movies and video games give the impression that guns do that all the time.
Unless you're using certain types of ammo or have a short barreled gun, you're not going to get muzzleflashes all that often. And if you do, they won't be visible unless you're in low-light conditions.
I did try doing the 'smoke puff' style muzzleflashes in my rebel operation in Moscow, but it didn't really work that well.

I hope you guys remember that most of you were the ones that voted Volf out (TWICE), as well as were the ones that wanted a blacklist put into place so people that did stupid shit didn't come back in. Its there for a reason, not to make us look like some kind of elitist club.
And another thing. A few of the votes for yes are from people that aren't part of the thread, so way to beef up that vote count. Anyway, if you guys want him back in, I don't care, but I'm just pointing that out.

Well a big part of too I noticed from my time in the Army (the only time I ever fired guns) was even if there is a muzzleflash you only see it for like a millisecond.

Why would anyone have an issue with that? I voted "agree" but I was very well aware that my vote probably wouldnt be valid.
Due to the end in hostilities with SABRE, Kraaivuur have been able to deploy extra forces to Syria, and have started Operation "Terugneem", retrieving military equipment and searching for what few survivors remain in the city.

So for my new group I wanted to make a new country, but I wanna check first and see if it's gonna cut into anyone else's territory. Primarily the purpose of this group is so me and Tbone can sit on opposite sides of the Yenisei River and shoot spitwads at eachother.
Situation in the Commonwealth has been getting more unstable by the day. After more than a year discussing about it, the Parliament will be voting next week to remove or not the country's 3rd Constitutional Amendment, which determines the Commonwealth's pacifist nature; this amendment for example, limits the number of active troops in the armed forces and prohibits the Commonwealth from investing more than 1 % of it's GDP in the Military (it currently invests only 0.5 %) and also prohibits it from attacking another nation, it's Military's sole purpouse is defense, a condition imposed by Argentina after the Independence War (1892-93), in order to recognize it's defeat. In the 60s, it was also added that the country is hereby prohibited from using nuclear energy outside of civilian consumption.
The country's far left, and part of the center-left, are completely against the removal of the Amendment, claiming it as a Fascist move; other arguments include the possibility of the Commonwealth triggering an arms race in South America and spark up old conflicts, as well as the saying that this will only benefit the Military industrial complex and foreign industries. They've named themselves the "Front de La Paz" (Peace Front). On the other side, the "Movimiento por la Independencia" (Movement for Independence), led by the relatively young Congressman Gabriel Marques (picture of him soon), claims that the measure can create many new opportunities and jobs for the people and that, given the events throught the world, is the only way to guarantee the Commonwealth's survival; this argument was strenghtned after the AWA's recent use of Nerve Gas and many of the Platine people are tense and afraid of what might happen, and decided to support Marques.
Things however are still very tense and are only expected to get worse in the days to come. Riots, protests, strikes and overall violence, especially caused by opposing political groups, have been increasing steadily to the point the Army has now tightened security and is assisting the police in controlling the situation, but sometimes barely making it as both sides seem to be getting more aggresive towards each other. In the picture, 2 soldiers are on patrol in the city of Posadas, province of Misiones, as a peaceful protest takes place a few blocks away from there. Some provincial governments have considered hiring PMCs in order to avoid further damage.
Honestly, this all seemed better on my head, but oh well. Ah fuck, page king'd.
The Khanate of Tunguska (AKA. the Tunguskan Khanate, or just Tunguska as it's more commonly known to the outside world) is an ex-Soviet subject that gained independence in 1991 with the dissolution of the USSR. Their capitol is the City of Tunguska, so named because it was constructed near the site of the Tunguska Event of 1908. For the longest time, the Khanate was a deeply isolationist state, however by late 2003 they began to open their borders to the rest of the world. With the sudden influx of goods and wealth, the Khanate quickly became one of the wealthier Asiatic nations. Today it is one of the largest industrial powerhouses in Eurasia, its production capacity almost rivaling that of Russia or China's. What the Khanate does not make itself, it imports from its myriad trade partners around the globe. The ruler of of Tunguska is the Khan, equivalent to a king or emperor of old. Since gaining its independence in 1991, the Khanate has been ruled by the Ganbaatar dynasty, making the country for all intents and purposes a monarchy. There are no free elections, power is passed to the next in line of succession. Despite being a totalitarian state, the Tunguskan people are relatively happy and prosperous; they are well-fed, and well looked after by their Khan. Many outsiders would consider the Khanate's methods when punishing criminals to be brutal or sadistic, but the people of Tunguska simply consider this the inevitable outcome of a life of crime. The Khanate is not on friendly terms with it's one-time master Russia, as many Tunguskans still harbor bitter resentment toward them. The majority of the Khanate's population are ethnic Tunguskans or other people descended from the Asiatic tribes of the steppes, while a very small minority are slavic or other ethnicities. Because of their hatred for Russia, the ethnic Tunguskans despise all people of slavic descent, and violence against the slavic population is common. Tunguska has a burning hatred for communism, and denounces all nations that practice it. The Khanate also has a staunch anti-PMC policy, considering all private contractors to be murderous savages who will slit the throats of decent people for a purse full of coin. As of the moment, Tunguska has no allies, but it is on very rocky terms with Tbonia, its western neighbor. Ever since the Tbonians began building across the Yenisei River the Khanate has been anticipating an invasion, building fortifications and massing troops along the waterway. As of now the two sides are not openly at war, although there have been a few isolated shootouts and the occasional inaccurate shelling that fails to hit the broad side of a barn. Since the troubles began 3 Tunguskan soldiers have been killed, though no one has any figure of Tbonia's casualties yet.
