At least when you're about to take a screenshot. It's alright if you leave it on low when you're doing the actual posing, but when it's time to take a picture, you really ought to put it on high just for that.

If you want a wiki page, either make it yourself or PM me about making you one. There's been like 20 different factions pop up in the last bunch of pages and I've got a life that requires a lot of my attention right now since I'm under contract to make a game for Steam Greenlight for college since it's my senior year. I'm also not the only sysop, as I gave FT sysop and a bunch of the old timers moderator powers, so don't even lay the blame for outdated info on your own factions at my feet. Your faction is your own responsibility, not mine. All I do is fix typos and formatting problems. I was going to add FT to be able to edit the map but I don't know his GMail address so I can't add him as an editor without it. I don't trust anyone besides the game master to edit the map because what he says is what goes and I don't want everyone just vandalizing the map to spite me. The wiki is a community effort. It's not my responsibility to catalog everything as much as I would like to because I just don't have time right now.
I've always wanted to do EW but never had the capability of skinning my own stuff. Is there a really good guide out there that anybody knows of that could help me make a skin for my faction?

Take the model(s) of your choice and start reskinning. For the purposes of this guide, let's assume you're focused on reskinning the uniform and/or gear (Webbing, MOLLE/PALS etc.) of a generic soldier model. If so, then read these points: 2a. Try to find a drab version of a uniform/gear texture if the model you're reskinning doesn't have one, either from a model with similar/identical components, or from a specular map or bumpmap/normal map layer mask (though the latter may not produce satisfactory results). You could also use the bumpmap itself as a drab texture, but that's more or less a last resort. None is really necessary if for example you only intend to slap on a logo, but for either of the next two steps having a flat-coloured texture is essentially required. 2b. If you want to give your soldier a flat-coloured uniform, then you don't need to do much more than mess around with the colour tools of your chosen image editor. 2c. If on the other hand you intend to have a camouflaged uniform, then you need to: a)Desaturate the texture (N.B. - You should isolate any elements you don't want reskinned); b)Mess around with brightness and contrast until the texture is white (or at least light gray), but take care not to obliterate details such as clothing creases etc. in the process (again, you should isolate any elements you don't want reskinned); c)Take your chosen camo, make it a separate layer, resize it (if needed) and then tile it (again, if needed) d)And finally set the camo layer to multiply or overlay/soft light/hard light before merging with the base uniform/gear texture (Most of the time, I've personally found that setting the camo layer to mutliply gives the best result, though sometimes setting it to overlay or soft light or hard light can give a similar or even a superior result) Now, there's nothing wrong with just throwing on a camo texture and leaving it at that as long as you follow the steps above. However, if you're going for realism you should aim to replicate any 'seams' that may be present on the model (pocket flaps, sleeves, trouser/pant legs etc.), in which case isolate those particular parts of the uniform/gear texture BEFORE applying the camo texture, make a copy of the camo texture for the isolated elements and either move it to a different position on the 'canvas' or rotate it, and then apply the camo layers as normal. 3. Once you're done reskinning, I'd advise that you hex whatever models you've reskinned. It would ultimately take me quite a while to manage that sort of thing; hopefully, I'll eventually get the hang of it.
