I only included that little snippet to convey the idea that the Smokkelaars are, in essence, stereotypical grunts; easily peeved about a single penny missing from their paycheck, constantly boasting, constantly shit-talking and very much, in ever sense, grunts. Dime-a-dozen bozos designed to be mowed down and pretty much morally reprehensible characters; wasn't meant to be anymore inappropriate than some of the other stuff on the EW threads.
Or your talking about Volf.
I meant Volf.

Off the hook, woot-dee-doot!
It might be nice to have a map detailing where exactly "New Ukraine" is and any of the towns that are being referred to are, because I really have no clue what is going on or where in that conflict.

There is a map on my factions wiki page with marked area of New Ukraine. The towns where most of the combat is, are close to the ukrainian and belarusian border. I hope that helped :s

Talon has begun the final testing phase of their new LASER Rifle. This impressive weapon has a yield of 1,500 megajoules, easily killing a human being. However, this is only at a range of 350-400 meters. After this, the weapon's firepower drops the farther away the target is. This range sacrifice was in order to keep battery life longer so infantrymen weren't switching out batteries every 10 shots. The current battery life is roughly 25-30 shots.

It's a fictional character.
I think the point in this case was the nature of the comment rather than the comment itself, seeing as ill-thought and poorly-worded comments is what led to Volf being kicked in the first place.
As shipments maintain a steady pace in Ukraine, a relaxed Smokkelaars Allianise head-shed decides to withdraw some of their more valuable members from the region; the cream of the crop are sifted from the wasted kernels and deposited back in places like Ash Shaddadi, Tiefouma and Zaire. A minor force, just barely extending into double-digits, remains to oversee shipments. To avoid possible attacks in the future, the groups delivery vehicles begin to travel around the more abandoned and wasted lands of Ukraine; skirting the irradiated wasteland of Odessa, taking great pains to avoid the larger pockets of radiation, the wrecks of long forgotten vehicles and weapons lying ruined by the roadsides. All sorts of nonsense rumours about abandoned, quasi-futuristic technology left behind and still active still stirs some smugglers into murmurs about just what is left in Odessa. Fearful stories of killers, creatures, weapons and more circulate.

Even more rumours persist about the nature of the fighting in Odessa before the Smokkelaars had even arrived; was there, or is there, any merit in the rumours about interesting gadgets and knick knacks, lost in the radiation. Treasure troves surrounded by an invisible killer; amongst other, supposed things. Still, as many smugglers note, nothing like a good ghost story to get the blood going. Besides, there's nothing left in Odessa. Nothing worth fearing, anyways.

Statement From a Kraaivuur International Spokesperson: Today our brave lads ventured into the Ruins of Daraa and we are happy to declare that we have recovered one of the heinous canisters that the AWA used and the brave men of Kraaivuur and the WLA. We are returning the object to "Kraaisestok", our base near the Zimbabwean Border.
Uh, it wasn't a bomb, it was a missile.
And how did you manage to retrieve an intact missile? Also, why would you bring said missile, that's filled with Nerve-gas, back into your base? Unless you want to make the AWA's job much more easier, I wouldn't recommend doing that at all.
Not exactly pertinent to the immediate discussion, but you know that nerve gas dissapates fairly rapidly, right? Being that it's a gas, if it's used in a non-confined area (like for example, a city) the breeze is enough to blow it away and dissipate it to a point where it's not a massive threat anymore within a few hours.
It can still contaminate the environment and it's probably not a great idea to do anything there untill it's been properly cleaned up, but soldiers aren't going to immediately die the second they set foot in Daraa without protective gear.
In all [somewhat unbelievable] fairness, one of the missiles in that ancient soviet launcher could have been a dud. But I really doubt anybody would risk transporting a dud filled with nerve gas.

One bump and the whole convoy gets a taste of the sprinkler
Well, this is why you remove the explosives or whatever is used to spread the gas from them first, then stick it in a sealed container just to be extra sure.
I don't think they're stupid enough to just pick it up off the street and strap it to the roofrack.

No one's that stupid, Floater.
Now, could you help me fit this Sarin gas shell in the glove box?

Absolutely, let me go get my hammer.
I haven't done anything lately so here's a thing I made whilst practicing with SFM.

edit: ok nevermind
we already have a map you goobis

yes we do
This one has a better format honestly, the map Lucky made is a bit of a cluster fuck and doesn't define borders or anything. I disagreed because Rusty's format is better.

We have two, though. One of which even looks like what Rusty's trying to do.
doesn't define borders or anything.
As I've just helped Rusty discover, yes it does. You have to tick the 'faction areas of influence'.
Most factions are missing them however.
[editline]1st May 2016[/editline]
Not to mention in general like I said it's a bit of a cluster fuck.
Your map's not going to be any less of a clusterfuck when you add all the factions to it.
That one is old and could do with some updating, but it's not really worth making an entirely new map over.
And some factions might just own a building or a base in a city and not really own any 'territory', as such. A marker does the job for them just fine.
Well I think I'll squash mine for now. :(
