Don't be like that gramps, it'll be a fun experience for you.
I was rather under the impression, thanks to the big Radiation Hazard symbol overlayed above Odessa, the amount of fighting having gone on there and the pretty heavy emphasis on Odessa being nuked to crap, that it was this big glowing radioactive ruin; apparently, it's now a glowy-ish, sort of radioactive semi-built up city that's been repaired somewhat.

Anyone know how to fix the grass on the Insurgency maps? Its showing up as squares for me
hold down C to open up the context menu, at the top left you should see 'Drawing', click that and then go down to uncheck 'Draw detail props'
then you just place your own foliage

A Image has surfaced that claims that the CEO of Kraaivuur International Johannes Wester while serving in the Rhodesian SAS was involved in the Massacre of a small village claimed to be sheltering ZANLA Rebels. Kraaivuur PR has relased a statement saying that this is obviously a slanderous attack meant to decrease support for Kraaivuur's Peacekeeping operation in Baltia.

I got an announcement to make. It's annoying to have all these random bases and areas of complete unimportance and irrelevance cluttering the map. It's also very frowned upon to have bases fucking everywhere across the globe, especially if it's deep within another faction's territory (unless they have approved it) or so far away from your own central territory.
For example: If you have an office/FOB somewhere in bumfuck Africa and your main territory is somewhere like Russia, it's not going to get marked.
Another example: You cannot have an FOB deep within the turf of another faction just for the sake of it being there so you can deploy your dudes within a snap when they become hostile.
There are now limitations on what will be placed on the map.
It will be based on:
-Relevance (Major Bases, Forts, Silos/Bunkers ON YOUR TERRITORY)
-Strategic Importance (FOBs, Staging Areas, Suppy Depots)
-Activity(Are YOU actually actively using it)
-Proximity to Conflict Zones
Considering most if not all of the markers on the map have little to no relevance to actual gameplay, I think we could just do with the very bare minimum.
It's nice to know where people's HQs or capital cities are, but I don't think any of the FOBs, labs or any other locations really actually serve any purpose being on there.
I'm still not in the OP

I got about three "bases"; the biggest one there is the Tiefouma Refinery, the second is the safehouse and headquarters in Zaire and the third and final base I've got is a safehouse in Ash Shaddadi which I'm expecting to be u̶t̶t̶e̶r̶l̶y̶ ̶m̶a̶n̶g̶l̶e̶d̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶b̶u̶r̶n̶t̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶g̶r̶o̶u̶n̶d renovated by the AWA at some point. I think three's a reasonable amount of standing, permanent locations for a criminal organisation mostly relegated to the Eastern hemisphere.
Though, to be honest, bases don't really serve much point except as relatively convenient plot points for the odd bit of backstory now and again; or even more convenient staging bases for attacks on in a region factions. That, and the occasional "corporate raid" on faction bases a la Kraivuur V SABRE.

Guilty as Charged, or atleast; formerly guilty.
I'm a man on the mend, ya see?
I've got 4 Bases, A Oil Rig near Cape Town (Main HQ), a base near Zimbabwe (Not as Important, just an explanation for where I keep all of the APC's and Transport Vehicles), A FOB near Daara (A Town Called Al Suweyda, it's North-West? Of Daara I think) and my FOB in Baltia "White Eagle" ( I haven't put a definitive point on this so just put it near where the border with Poland might be)

Should tighten the rope a bit further and just put down Headquarters/Capitols/Supreme Command centers. At the rate esp wars travels there could be a base set up one day and then taken down the very same day.
Ok, how about this. I'm not going to add any of your forward bases or whatever UNLESS they are in active use due to a conflict or major event. Otherwise you can keep that stuff on your wiki page.
The only thing at the moment that matters is your main base/HQ.
who's the one responsible for editing the map?
That's me currently.

SABRE forces engaged Kraaivuur International operators 12 Miles in to Baltian territory, and engaged using its fleet of Panhard AMLs. To SABREs surprise, Kraaivuur operators were caught in somewhat less desirable locations, and found that many of Kraaivuurs Ratel IFVs were poorly co-ordinated along smaller back roads. Further such tactics will be employed more often following the moderate successes, and its hoped that further advances of Kraaivuur contractors will be stemmed, though due to the small number of Panhards available to SABRE, such stemming attacks will be few and far between.
The Eastern Legion has invaded Belarus and occupied the town, Brest close to the New Ukrainian border.
[thumb]http://imageshack.com/a/img922/1816/NzyG1b.jpg[/thumb]
You know, I'm just gonna say that I think everyone needs to slow down on all these invasions and occupations. I mean Baltia fell back into Belarus to fortify against the inevitable invasion so I find it highly unlikely that they could just walk right over the border directly into Brest without any resistance at all. Just because someone isn't responding doesn't mean they don't have forces in the area that can fight back.
Its okay, my forces a currently behind brest, just didnt made a responce since Bottle boys and my forces havent engaged yet.
Following the growing concern over trade in Syria, especially in the vicinity of the smugglers' haven of Ash Shaddadi, the Smokkelaars' higher ups send 0-1, still put-out by his more recent expulsion from Ukraine, to act in much the same reconaissance and assasination role he held in Ukraine. Naturally, the local Smokkelaars forces take his arrival fairly poorly; though unable to do anything about his arrival, they make certain to ostracise the lone cyborg; which suits 0-1 rather well.
