some stuff i've done recently this week
both sfm 'n stuff.
I think i'll join "The Lighting Learning Club" too.
I started using SFM some time ago (and it's damn fun), but even after reading 2-3 tutorials i still suck at lighting. :v:

Still i need to learn much more things, do more practice, and stuff like that.
I've been also messing around with Super DOF, trying to find that perfect fit for most images and messing around with the very touchy settings.

Somehow I feel the colors and bloom look somewhat overkill.
I should have hoped on the SFM train a long time ago

How can I make this a bit smaller?
Scale it down in Photoshop.
Scale it down in Photoshop.
I meant like, where you can click it to enlarge it. When ever I try to scale it down in PS, it goes on that cycle forever

looks good, just a bit dark imo

god damn even the background dude's arm reflects light
the only thing that kills the lighting for me is the juuuust a little too bright shadows, and the terribly grey and dark sky.

add depth with fog
give some indication of scale
avoid repetition - like holy shit, what were you even thinking with this shot, even dystopian dictatorships have more variety to their architectural styles
no city is flat or stands on flat ground, so some buildings will stand taller than others

My attempt at making something to represent operation Grouse.
why have such a low-detail scene in such a ridiculous size?
Sorted, agreed, far too big. And as for the low level of detail, wasn't really sure what more I could add, I've seen some clips from the original 1965 film about Telemark and apart from the Heavy water complex there isn't much apart from snow and a few rocks.
