I agree with Riku, saying "Why are there no shadows?" does alert him to the issue but doesn't really help him fix that or in other words. [editline]27th January 2017[/editline] Joazz is right though, there are no shadows at all. While your explanation does mean you've thought about it, having a different look would make it better. Try yellow.

Helmets are a bit too shiny, I'll fix that on later poses. [t]https://img4.picload.org/image/rooldooa/quiet.jpg[/t]
This one looks best
Helmets are a bit too shiny, I'll fix that on later poses. [t]https://img4.picload.org/image/rooldooa/quiet.jpg[/t]
Wow. What exactly did you do here? The shadowing and lighting are unexpectedly realistic looking... Would be happy to hear your step by step process.
Well all I really did was the standard process of several different images that have different light posings and like what you would do Vioxtar, put them all together on Photoshop in screen mode. I just included the mat_fullbright shot in and minimized the opacity to 30 so the shadows are dark, but not entirely dark. And then I used the burn tool to mimic HBAO by drawing it across areas where contact of two objects are like the sandbags on the ground, the sleeping soldier resting on the sandbags and the bottom stands of the ladder to name a few. [editline]28th January 2017[/editline] I didn't really think this was a good shot to tell you the truth.

I can learn how to do it your way, then I fork off into my own direction of how to do it.

sup duders I just started playing with scene clutter, and super DoF for the first time ever. Critique welcome, but not too seriously because I was really just playing around, and wanted to share. Three out of the five of us worked at a local brewery, so...well, let's just say the local recycling company had their work cut out for them. :v:
Imo super dof works best with smooth focusing rather than edgey Compare your focus on the top right and bottom left pics to this one Mine's smoother, have a mess around with the settings. [IMG_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/ZImep4D.jpg[/IMG_thumb]

Is that Space Marine without armor?
yes
Space Marines can live without their armour on?
easily, it's not part of their bodies. they only wear armor on missions or during training exercises. sparring, rites, sleep and such is all done without armor. out of armor they usually wear simple military style fatigues, the armor undersuit without the plating on, or monastic robes.
Ah nice Warhammer lore is cool af. Shame its expensive.
