Is that gmod? If so, the super dof makes it look like SFM. What did you set the super dof to, if you still remember?
Joazz, the big guy's claws seem kind of low rez in terms of textures.
yup, working on that
I'm working on a pose on gm_black. However, I'm having a really hard time getting realistic outdoor lighting. Any input?

(It's set on mat_fullbright 1 here.)
Set a white lamp from the top, slightly off to the left or right though , make it 4.00 in brightness. Then, at the bottom and outside the screen spawn some lights with brightness BELOW 1.00 and a wide distance. Experiment with the position of the lights.

sometimes if im really struggling ill add a really dim light (not a lamp) to just fill in all the samll hard to get to areas but you gotta have it so dim the lamps still work with it, then just add a few lamps behind them and have them much brighter and maybe again some smaller dim ones infront of them just to light their front up a bit more
this is probably the way id do it but others might disagree

Woops, might have being unclear: I linked you to a post a new thread page as you should post these pictures in a new thread of their own as they deserve it imo. That 'you're going to get banned if you dont read the rules' message is just there by default (you didn't do anything wrong) :p

Want to make a little machinima but have no idea.
joazzz man if youre gonna use those hl2/tf2 volumetric light props then you gotta experiment w the placement a whole lot more until its completely subtle, i can really see it cutting off above the right arch
i used that shit all the time back in 2009 or something, risky stuff
oh yes i sort of rushed that part. i wish effects were bone tool compatible because when all you have is really small versions and really big fat versions your options are too damn limited
