Very nice. Is the ground here made of models or a map? If its models, any chance you got a download link?
you can get models by downloading scenebuild mega pack part 6

Know that weird lamp texture that's supposed to fake how light would show under trees? We just made the real thing: The soft shadows are still being worked on, this was a render test of the latest version. Vioxtar tried to recreate sunspots similar to the ones you would see under a tree, and so we threw some props under a bunch of trees, and were more than happy to see they worked just as we expected. This means the soft shadows successfully recreate real light behavior in terms of direct illumination.
Looks like a bunch of circles to me.
Looks like a bunch of circles to me.
More than just a bunch of circles. It's what they mean - the potential to solve all of GMod's lighting/shadow related problems. I suggest reading this if you want to know more about the importance of soft shadows in computer graphics.

But I mean they don't look like canopy shadows.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/F27IgnX.jpg[/IMG][/t]
I think the lighting is a bit too bright, and that you should try to make the light source a little more angled to get some shadows to appear. #Edit I just noticed that you're using that map with the terrible lighting and cube-maps (even though the rest of the map is awesome). What I suggest you to do is try to move the ragdolls statued (don't forget to make a back-up of your pose before you do this) to the ship's shadows and try to get something going on with the lamp and light tool there.
What about light bouncing? Would this be possible?
We're starting to consider different approaches, but not before we tackle volumetric lighting and god rays :D [editline]13th April 2016[/editline]
Right. But I mean they don't look like canopy shadows.
Yeah... the circles are too big and it doesnt quite capture the same feel. I do believe thats mainly because the tree models we used were kind of crappy, there was no additional light sources, and the fact we used too big of a light didnt help either, but that most certainly wasnt our goal
i admit i'm an autistic fanboy when it comes to Warhammer but i just saw that thing as bad in the "lol random" way. with some context it could've worked well. had it been a scene - a well made one especially - with argonians fighting some Elder Scrolls characters or creatures in an Elder Scrolls setting, but with the Terminator armor as an added twist, it would've been completely fine, great even. good crossovers with effort put into them can be awesome.
Use Krogan heads and Skyrim scene build next time. Don't know where else to ask, but does anyone know where they took this picture in TF2? I wanna remake it with higher resolution.

Threadworthy.
Just showcasing these models. [T]http://i.imgur.com/EWyd0XV.jpg[/T] [T]http://i.imgur.com/u1u084Z.jpg[/T]
Those headphones really should fit over the ears more fully. It's uncomfortable as fuck to have them half-off like that and it also kind of renders them pointless.
The helmet is either too big vertically (and possibly width wise) or is placed too high, while the sunglasses are too far down the nose.
How's this now? Compromised the strap fitment on the chin though, also the earlobe clipping can be fixed with the ears_up flex. [editline]fuckme[/editline] Disregard that, I'll leave them like they are for the time being. Working on the straps is a pain in the ass, glasses seem fine to be honest.
