Made this after playing the prologue mission for Wolfenstein: The New Order. Too bad there aren't any ports of the allied soldiers from that game, hence why I chose to go for Simkas' Vietnam era US soldiers and Cold War British soldiers, they actually make surprisingly good stand-ins. Also hoping for some decent ports of the 1946 era nazis as well.
Have this as well

Sweet, how'd you make the soldier models? Are they private hacks or did you pose stuff onto them, and if so, where could I find those gas masks, they'd work really well in another wolfenstein scene build.

meh, it still looks cool, anyway, it's set in the future, they could be wearing anything for all we know.
Still wanna know where those gas masks are from

They're in Alaska, wouldn't surpise me if a resistance movement smuggled gear from Soviet/Russia to them.

Damn I remember that game, my friend and I used to play split screen competitive, he always played allies whilst I played axis. It's always nice to hear feedback.

i just posed the vest and mask onto the soldiers (the vest and mask are private)

according to the fallout wiki last i checked, the soviet union and the usa were in pretty good relations until the bombs fell so it wouldnt be that suprising if they both lended each other equipment
also because i didnt want to bother learning how to hack just to put a gulf war/vietnam vest on them
Alright, I need to kill my thoughts for a while... I made something today since I haven't played Gmod in a couple of days

Second is the original.
(Clickie for full res, it's 8k)
First time I've actually done anything in photoshop outside of color grading.
^That's magnificent. I would cut off like 20% on the right though because it distracts me and forces me to focus on the boat, which is in the lower right.

Also, playing around with props, made some kind of a tower, really not a lot of originality lately coming to me. Done mainly in-game with soft_lamps casting the shadows.

Soft shadows are pretty cool if you get the settings right, all ingame in this one as well. Check out the shadows on the mid guy's face

The shadows are barely there.
How did you get the beanies to work with those guys?
From what I remember they had missing beanie texture and mouth texture.

A little something I noticed is as soon as you put those glasses bodygroup on these, the entire ragdoll's shadows get immediately disabled. Gotta spawn the glasses as a separate prop and throw em on manually

You probably didn't have the Enhanced Citizens.

oh, I thought they were Half Dead's casual citizens

I must ask, how much time on average do you devote to scenebuilding, because that would take me days to complete.

Another Wolfenstein themed pic, lighting didn't come out as nice as my last one, I'm a little disappointed to be honest.
