SO As it turns out through testing, land ships have a bit of a problem. Prop health. Yeah I know right? Despite having ~70k health each with maximum ductility (I literally can't get it to go any higher), the main props still die somewhat easily due to the bonus damage penetration does (With nearly 0 armor, spammy guns like MGs do a number). So to remedy this problem a little, I've attached a boat load (pun c:) of 20mm armor plates to resist MG fire and hopefully detonate HE/HEAT shells early to minimize the damage done. [t]http://i.imgur.com/X9SUhQf.jpg[/t] Also, weapon system rework: Instead of one "fuck you I'm a 203" howitzer, which did surprisingly low damage with giant HE shells, and a quad missile rack, I've mounted 3 122mm Howitzers firing HE. Why you might ask? Well simple, the damage done from those three appears to be greater than that of a single 203, they weigh about the same in total, and I get much more ammo with the 122's than with the 203. Oh and the firerate is incredible so there's that. edit: Btw this is below 60t.

So, I figured out ballistics. With the help of Mister Mcblack, Dald & friends irl. I've figured it out and got it working. Im trying to emulate the fire control system used in the M1A1. 'lase and blaze'. You aim normally, track a target, lase, and fire, then clear the system. Rinse and repeat. It's 4-4-Twosday [t]http://i.imgur.com/zdexr4w.jpg[/t] This is a 4-4-2 "Atlantic Camelback", a fast passenger locomotive operated by many Appalachian railroads during the early 20th century. My model here is based off of the blueprint of a Reading P5s, although I've detailed it for number 592, a CNJ Camelback on display in Baltimore which pulled the famous "Blue Comet" train. My model here is just under 350 props and cruises nicely at about 55 MPH. [t]http://i.imgur.com/vGSfZYN.jpg[/t] Camelback locomotives are a bit unusual- their design is unconventional and they had a short lifetime. Camelback locos had their cabs center of the boiler, because of the large anthracite-burning firebox (to the rear of the cab). If the cab had been on the rear of the engine, the firebox would have restricted the engineer's visibility too much. This layout had a few advantages-- they were usually fast engines, their fireboxes burned more efficiently and allowed these engines to achieve speeds greater than 80(!) MPH. The engineer's visibility to the front was also better than a conventional loco. The type also had major disadvantages. If the connecting rods below the cab were to break, they would smash through the weak floorboards and injure the crew. The cab was difficult to escape from if the engine were to roll over, and the crew would die if the boiler exploded. The fireman stood on the tender exposed to the elements and separated from the engineer and the brakeman. By the 1920s, production of this type of engine was banned by the Interstate Commerce Commission, although railroads still continued to use camelbacks until they were replaced by diesel engines. Remember-- a steam engine's boiler is a hot, explodable pressure vessel. The train stuff I've been doing has just been a fun distraction, I've got more planes planned for the next few months.
