EDIT: does anyone know how to make a rope turret for these fuckers with oscillating turrets? I'm having a really hard time wrapping my head around it.

Don't use 350 props on a box.

The nocolide constraints don't cause any kind of lag after they are being applied. AKA after being spawned, then they have no interaction with anything. It also helps for e2s to find your baseplate. This is why looking down while in a tank will cause spazzing. You should always parent with it.
every time this comes up i have to bring attention to the fact that gmod stores all constraints in tables of 100
so every time you go over 100 a new table is created and that leads to mismatched constraints placed in different tables breaking and weakening a shit ton
also spazz while looking down is just the fault of your e2

Holos don't magically help fps, they're still entities. They're just not physically solid, and are manipulated by code.
I'm sure shadowscion could give us a lecture on how holos are the same as props.(Performance-wise) [sp]no offense, of course[/sp]

Graphically, yes, literally almost any entity is graphically equitative to props. But holograms in essence are not the same as props. That's what Im refering to.

I can't rate ya but judging from the pictures and your description of its features it deserves some winner stars.
A holo is just a prop without physics, that is parented to an entity. It is no different than a parented prop.
Server lag from holos comes from how you create the holos and if they're being created every tick or you did it properly.
So Ive been on a bit of an aircraft bender as of late: Ive created 6 aircraft, lost the 5th, and the 4th barely functions. But hey! These 4 work (Or will shortly)

A trick that I learned is to only use thick plates on the front and back (or wherever you're planning to get hit frequently) to reduce weight at the cost of health. It works pretty well for me, just thought I'd share my limited tank knowledge.

It's actually better to use thin plates all around than thick ones. As thin plates have less weight for the cost of a very tiny amount of health.
