Because tanks are typically intended to be used in combat and fighting, shooting things that are high prop and get shot at can really lag out the server, making you kind of an asshole. Combat in a laggy server or having bad fps is never fun. This doesn't mean vehicles or contraptions that aren't meant for combat can be high prop/detail, you should always keep your detail efficient no matter the circumstances.
Why does there NEED to be salt.
There's no "salt" in this discussion, unless your definition of that term is incorrect.
Quite a detail there my man, floating guns are great. Also great job in that elaborated blast shield.

Details are made with holos??
Holos still need to be rendered by your GPU. So if somebody complains about getting poor FPS don't hate on him please.
obviously,but someone mentioned that making details out of props extremely lags the server if you get hit during combat, so I was replying to that.
Here's my 2 cents on the matter. If it's that many holos and props, make it like a statue, with no constraints. Sure, you could have a working version, but for a project with that many holos and props, you should sure as hell strip it down a bit. Keep in mind, I mean for this to be only applicable for INSANELY high holo/prop shit. People can still appreciate and bask in your modern art masterpiece without having 3 FPS give or take.
but you don't need to have a shitload of holos to make something look good.
Get in asshole. Tanks, proptimization, holos and historical accuracy are so last year.

Also as for the Topfblende mantlet, I faked the armor with a simple plate and then used an E2 hologram of the orange TF2 bucket chair (models/props_spytech/terminal_chair.mdl) scaled, rotated, and clipped to fit on my Jagdpanzer IV, but it still feels like a compromise so I don't blame you for seeking other solutions.

They are fine to build as long as you put something important in them. (Ammo, seats, e2 ect)
Took a break after I lost interest in finishing the Osprey (too many props), decided to start making this. Vertical stabilizer looks a little wonky due to the other half of it being the rudder. Props to you if you can guess what she is.
