Didn't someone invade Cuba without provocation?
But A: It's a matter of perspective just as all wars are.
And B: North Korea's an evil 'superpower'. Looks like I'm doing folks a favor.
Just saying. :D
Reuniting the Koreas is more noble a goal than to simply invade an island so far away from your own territory for no reason whatsoever other than just cause they're "socialist".
And turning civilians into firewood is doubly noble; just think of the savings!
They didn't make candles out of pig fat for no reason, you know.
[editline]11th June 2016[/editline]
though tbh you shouldn't ever expect "CoG" and "noble goal" in the same sentence.
And turning civilians into firewood is doubly noble; just think of the savings!
They're making the original Rice Krispies bro, don't you want some delicious Rice Krispies??
Reuniting a wasteland is nothing at all, it will just give you problems with those sub-human bastards who live there, and their not even socialists their animals.
The invasion of North Korea makes no sense because South Korea does not have the economic stability to maintain the amount of refugees it will likely receive from North Korea. Neither would it have that large of a military to withstand the amoutn of insurgencies that will also likely be sparked up.
If COG doesn't kill fucking everyone and everyone else just goes "oopsie-daisi" when they hear about it.
To be fair, reuniting Korea isn't CoG's goal, that's the other two dudes in NK. CoG just wants to DEAD as many people as they try out their shiny new things.
And turning civilians into firewood is doubly noble; just think of the savings!
This is how we unite Korea. We kill all the North Koreans. And then let the South Koreans spread North. Boom. United Korea.
For real though. I'm really trying to add some damn personality and character to my faction. We started off as "Good guys" We were founded during the Gulf War. Fought in the war on terror and pledged our own little campaign against it... twice.
James Markson has just become so... clouded, that in his eyes, Invading a country that is honestly a threat to many, is a good thing to do. And his vision to Unite Korea, is entirely a matter of perspective because of how far he's 'fallen' or strayed from his original vision. There's no gray, it's simply black and white and what color you see.

Guess we can have a little "south korean economy goes bye-bye" event after we reunite Korea, eh guys?
Guess we can have a little "south korean economy goes bye-bye" event after we reunite Korea, eh guys?
Wait. How does that work?
North Korea is an extremely rural and underdeveloped economy. It would take a shitload of money for SK to recover that, which they actually have planned in case for an eventual Korean reunification.
As I stated before, South Korea does not have the economic stability to maintain all of North Korea, possibly insurgencies, and a very likely refugee problem I'm guessing that if anything, SK will end up spending a shit ton of money to accomadate these things, and then, as stated, "bye bye economy".
So did all of you forget about that big huge DMZ filled with landmines and walls that has been keeping both Koreas at bay for millions of years? There are only several points across and I doubt refugees are going to be taking the minefield across so those points that can be crossed will probably have a fuckload of flood control to keep refugees from pouring into South Korea. I'm sure if Phoenix and Nemean are pushing then they can handle the shoving when it comes to refugees.
The South Korea economy would likely be overwhelmed by the influx of the incredibly poor refugees of the conflict, plus a whole region filled with shit infrastructure and extreme poverty being given to the South Koreans would likely not be the best present; it's why many young South Koreans these days are wary as all hell about reunification in real life.
Let's all go back to making content now instead of discussing the pros and cons of something that hasn't even happened yet.
Well guys, we can have a long debate about the consequences of trying to reunite Korea, but please do it elsewhere cause we're starting to get derailed a bit here.
I can't make any stuff today. I'm on the beach.. Again.

So it's been brought to my attention that I've been incensing a lot of people with my actions again, and I'd like to apologize for it. The arguments presented against me were fair and I won't refute them. I've been so busy trying to have my own idea of fun that I've been trampling all over other people trying to have fun too. Again my attitude has become an issue, and I apologize to whomever I've offended, as it was not my intention. I only wish that the people I did offend would have let me know so I could have tried to rectify my behavior, but I don't blame them for getting upset with me. I won't ask forgiveness as this has happened multiple times now so I wouldn't blame any of you for being sick of me. So I'll take my leave; I wish you all the best of luck with your future endeavors.
What happened to Volf? I was just sleeping in my bed then this shocker happened.
A video was uploaded to the Papilon Solutions official media account earlier today, tentatively titled "To Tacticus Solutions, and all PM/SC companies otherwise concerned". The video, shot in an office area, features Papilon's Operational Commander and public face, Simon van der Linde, reaching out to Tacticus Solutions regarding the assassination of CEO Catherine Homestead;

"Is it rolling? Good.
For those of you who do not yet know who I am, the man you are watching right now is Simon van der Linde, Operational Commander of Papilon Solutions, PMC. I would have preferred to do this by more... public means, but with the sensitivity of the subject at hand and the current situation, I've had to do it this way to ensure the safety of a rather large blanket of people. The purpose of this reachout is simple: Tacticus is not the only company hurt by the loss of Ms. Homestead.
Simply put, I and the men under my command are just as appalled by the recent tragic incident in New York City as you are, and I have no doubt other groups are as well. After my trip to her final resting place, I immediately sat down with the powers that be and campaigned for something to be done: this is the outcome. I, personally, am reaching out to Tacticus Solutions - I am ready and willing to commit as much manpower as is needed to assist in your investigation of Ms. Homestead's death and the circumstances surrounding it.
There will be no cost, no surcharge - this contract between us, should you choose to accept, is not simply a business deal. Ms. Homestead's death has far reaching implications for PMCs across the world, and may have made certain groups complacent. I want to help, not only to clear the confusion surrounding the incident, but also to bring those responsible into the public light. If they think they can just assassinate a fellow company's head and face no opposition, they are sorely mistaken.
I leave the ultimate choice to the powers that be within Tacticus Solutions. If needed, I will travel to Paris myself to solidify any details at a later date. You are not alone in this fight. That is all."

The face of the CEO looks incredibly detailed. Is that one of those Arma heads?
By the way, don't really visit this thread a lot, but there's a lot of really great stuff here.

Yes it is. With a custom facemap and hair. Set up by Rusty.

Also for anyone who might need the faction, the house icon under my avatar and shit is where to grab all the unique models. You'll still need to grab Kali's Mega AK pack(As if you have't already.) for their guns, check the Wiki for the exact models, and Kali's NH-90 if you wanna have their helicopter of choice, although I am sure they could field other unmarked ones. I wasn't gonna package in anything I didn't make even a minor change to. Gmodders will also probably wanna spawn in the Static Carrier, the other one works, but it's a ragdoll for some reason and some parts just fall off. The physmodel also sucks dick, but a good part of the deck is serviceable.
