Grand Ducal White Army stationed in DR has been finally given an order to join and advance towards the capital. A few hours later GDS has released the statement of sending more troops and equipment to further support the DRA's goals of taking over the country.

The platoon was moving towards the village in (in La Vega Province) when suddenly platoon was under fire by the enemy, the firefight soon ensued which lasted over 30 minutes, it ended with 1 casualty for GDS and enemy retreating, soon afterwards the GDS troops took over one of the house ruins and set up a supply outpost where they made their prayers for a fallen comrade, loaded their empty magazines and held the outpost until the supply vehicle arrives creating an outgoing supply line for the advancing GDS force .

Operation Linebacker is off to a great start! 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Battalions of the 1st Naval Infantry Division have hit the beaches a ways past DRA controlled territory to open up a new front. 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Battalions have made great time and have already began construction of FOBs on their respective beaches. 1st Battalion on the other hand...not so well. They've hit two problems out of the box. The first being that there is heavy, low-hanging clouds over their beach, keeping Kergikstani aircraft from providing CAS. Two being that they've hit a TERRIBLE beach! It is way too small for vehicles to get on the beachhead. Luckily, there are local DRA insurgents in the area, and they arrive to provide assistance in the form of directing them to a more spacious and easily defendable beachhead further northwest. The only problem being that it is within range of CGM long-range artillery along the border of DR-DRA territory, but they have to risk it. 1st Battalion's move has cost them time and puts Operation Linebacker in jeopardy as they begin to pack back up and begin the relocation to Cabrera.
Kepsut, Turkey:
The FC for days have slaughtered village, after village - and engage in active guerrilla fighting in the hilly country with the Turkish government. For the time many FC cells in the region have avoid mass confrontation with the government forces and stick to the towns. Early yesterday morning the FC wiped Kepsut, a small town in western Turkey off the map. FC guerrillas mortared the town and used their T-55's and anti-tank rockets against cars fleeing the town - snipers would also fire on civilians running into the fields surrounding the village, trying to get away. After two hours of this, FC forces moved in and massacred the whole town, and destroyed everything - the local mosque was burnt to the ground and any valuables inside were looted, the FC also crucified the Imams, with their tongues cut out. Near the end of the day the bodies were dumped in a field only several meters away the mass grave covered most of the field and many crosses were up on the hill many had people crucified to them.
Another reminder of the price the Turks are paying for declining the demands from the ERR.
Waiting For Penumbra
The 1st Battalion has made good time after relocating to Cabrera, and has reported that their FOB is now in full swing, bringing Operation Linebacker back online. But another problem has risen that threatens the success of Operation Linebacker. NRF AWACS and ground-based early warning have reported a HUGE spike in Penumbra activity, suggesting that they're preparing to deploy aircraft. The battalions don't know who Penumbra's target is, but they suspect that it's their FOBs since they're so close to some Penumbra airfields. Luckily before setting out a few days before the start of Operation Linebacker, the DRA informed the Naval Infantry battalions that there was a heavy Penumbra presence in the areas that they were landing in, therefore each of the battalions landed in full preparation. Each battalion is accompanied by three 2S10 Telker SPAAs and one 2K10 Metkiy Strelok Mobile SAM vehicle, along with shoulder-fired MANPADS. The 2K10 Metkiy Strelok is a vehicle based on the chassis of the old 2K12 Kub but uses new and advanced NRF designed electronics, radar, tracking, engine, armor, and missiles. The new missiles are the NRF designed S-500(m) which the NRF claimed when unveiled to the public could shoot down fifth-generation jets, but that remains to be seen. The "M" does not mean modernized, but the lower case stands for the word "small" in Russian, indicating a much larger version of the S-500 exists. All the FOBs are put on lockdown whilst all 2S10s and 2K10s are put on high alert.
Which described by the military council would be the largest the ERR has ever taken part with their allies, with many allies of the ERR arriving and setting up positions on the militarized line and new fresh ERR forces mobilizing, this is a direct show of force to the Turks to accept the demands previously given or face further bloodshed. Also, Legions that have been part of the battle for Istanbul have been replenished with fresh legionaries, with the Armati Legion's getting new armor and legionaries for the fight ahead, some Praetorian Legates have volunteered to take officer positions also in the front-line Legions hoping to further spread the ideological radicalism the Praetorian's undergo in hopes to keep men moral up when the fighting starts.
ever since the successful coup in the FBR, the new provisional government promised for the new election of the new Eldership council. and in July 2017 during the election, the Samogitian National party lead by Hans Totleben which took the lead by taking 70% of total eldership seats. the Samogitian national party's ideology is aristocratic for of nationalism and idea of greater Samogitia. the party is not new as it was the same party that controlled the majority of seats in interwar Samogitia and the duchy of Osel. with this party in power, this marks the final stage of Samogitian reunification. with the party took over this caused the liberal medias outcry labelling the new party as fascist due to their nationalistic policies and promises of ''greater Samogitia'' with its reforms such as new constitution and ban of Communism.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/J2QIZs2.jpg[/t]
Grodno, the de facto capital of CSN
One of the first lines of action the new elders took was going to Grodno the de facto capital of CSN, and disbanding the CSN coalition which could be done due the Samogitian leader status within coalition, the high elder Hans Totleben justified this action with following quote '' the coalition was created out of fear of central pact and some PMC alliance for which I forgot the name of it. yet after 1 year its quite obvious central pact is no threat to us and the PMC alliance is long dead, and this exact Coalition showed its failures it failed to reduce the war crimes against Turks and forced Romans to leave this alliance, and it showed failure to maintain its stability this alliance already gives me the impression that it's going the same way as league of nations and I might as well break this down before it causes us and our allies any more damage''. and later on he finished his speech with this final quote once asked about the future and DRA
'' For those who think we abandoning our allies we will not do so, for now, the remaining members of CSN will be banned together in triple military defensive alliance until we can decide out the path towards the future. And finally if those french fucks in CGM think we are going to pulling out of the war in DR they are dead wrong, instead we going to focus more on the issue of driving out the occupants out of the Dominican Republic and we are not going to rest until the CGM pays for their crimes against the people of DR and The DRA is in charge of the new Dominican Republic bringing the time of peace and rebuilding towards the brighter and better future of the people of DR.
and so at 5 pm on July 19, 2017, the Coalition of sovereign nations was disbanded.
An interview by an independent reporter was conducted with Interim Vice President Gerbert Jäger.
Reporter: Thank you for taking the time in taking this interview, Mr Vice President.
Gerbert Jäger: My pleasure.
Reporter: To start this interview off, why has the President and the House authorized for the deployment of troops in Turkey?
Gerbert Jäger: Well, there are multiple reasons in which why we've deployed. Without telling you too much, the President and the house
believes that it's imperative in which we show that we're willing to help our alliance members and not sit idly back. Another reason being that
this conflict has gone on for too long, and it's our duty to end this conflict. The Romans have sent calls for peace over and over, only for it to be rejected.
Reporter: The general populace agrees that this potential conflict is unjust and that we shoulden't even be here in the first place. They've taken to the streets
to protest this. What do you think about this?
Gerbert Jäger: It's completely fine to gather peacefully and protest this action. However most of these so called protests have turned into riots, encouraging
looting, murders, muggings, and ecetera. Even so, if the House and the President believe that action is necessary, and since they all agree, we have done so. We cannot
simply turn our backs now as we've set a mandate of until the end of December to stay in Turkey. I am indefinitely encouraging that the people protest, but rioting must
stop or else we will have to crack down more harsher on this.
Reporter: So are you saying that the people are having a problem with staying in their cage and aren't willing to listen?
Gerbert Jäger: You're putting words in my mouth now.
Reporter: Apologies. Onto the next question, how much of the armed forces has been deployed into the country?
Gerbert Jäger: We've sent a large portion of our armed forces into the region, an estimate of 40,000.
Reporter: How does the state expect to fund this war?
Gerbert Jäger: The House of Commons and the President is working on a bill that will adjust the budget to a wartime status for this potential conflict.
Reporter: So the House of Commons and the President is anticipating this potential conflict to become an actual conflict for Bavaria?
Gerbert Jäger: You're doing it again.
Reporter: Are they though?
Gerbert Jäger: I'm not the President, and I'm not the House of Commons. I do not know what the President currently thinks nor do I know what every member
of the House is thinking, but all going to say is that they're preparing for the worst. We are getting ready to land, so I will not take any more questions. Thank you.

Militarized Line - Outside Istanbul, Turkey:
ERR Frog-7 Scuds have made it to their firing positions in the heavily defended militarized zone, heavy AA and ground activity around the scud positions also show the determined Legion to keep them from Turkish attack. While the scuds have moved into position heavy ground activity all over the line is showing the mass mobilization of the Legions moving into operational standby - the ERR leadership is sending one last demand to the Turkish government and is demanding to hear back within the week.
Otherwise ERR forces will begin their new offensive into Turkey.

Welcome to the Sumatra News Network official covering of the election! For anyone watching from abroad for interest or perhaps for some of us who aren't particuarly up to date on the political events, heres a handy guide to the 3 main parties who people will be voting for in a matter of days!

Sumatra has always had a troubled past, the chaos of its creation meant that parliamentary procedure was ever in a state of confusion. Votes were miscounted, dates weren't set, resulting in the only stable institution being left to pick up the pieces, that of course being the armed forces.
This meant that over the many years before the coup, the military was already politically active and aware. Basic lessons in voting procedure and ways of governance meant most of the military had a basic understanding of political happenings. Intellectuals debate to this day wether or not this caused the success of the coup, but one thing is for certain: it ended up creating the Military Party.
The Military Party is the official political representative for the Armed Forces and the ex-junta. A highly respected and large party, bringing in votes from the right and left, with a focus on centrism and appeasing both sides whilst, of course, keeping military strength and upholding the rule of law. It has been the focus of critcism from political commentators and opposing polticians, claiming its armies of soldiers, police and other army-related masses end up heavily influencing peoples opinions. (I.e you respect your local officers for helping your community, most of them vote for the military party so you view the party postivly etc)
Its current leader is "Dan" Soskwe Mingato, the descendant of Chinese immigrants and white settlers from Burma. He was a controversial choice, with some of the farer right making more than slightly racist comments about him on social media, whilst the far left claimed he was nothing more than a military puppet who didn't have any support besides talk value on the subjects of racism towards Asians.
Dan served in the armed forces for a decade before joining the Party to fight for the Military on the home front, however he also works part time at many native support groups. Critics of him fail to research this and are often embarrassed to discover he's been doing it for years, not just for some political power.
His approval rating is currently 74% across the nation, he is however more popular with middle aged and younger voters rather than pre-junta old timers, a serious concern when the Military Party is seeking to get votes nation wide and not just from urban areas.

Pictured: Mingato during his opening speech on the first televised debate
"The Junta of 1973 was a neccessary evil to save Sumatra from the brink of destruction during a crisis, many people will agree with me when i say that. Many people will also not agree, some will estatically rise up and say it was the best thing to ever happen to this country, others claim it was an almost Soviet style repression of civil rights and a blight on our history. This is just one example of how powerful the Sumatran armed forces can be and the proof that our choices affect this nation. Ladies and gentlemen, would you rather be governed by the Military, an instituion that has proved itself time and time again and proves itself to this day due to your governments inability to act, or would you rather side with the so called "Guardians of Democracy", the Conservatives and the Liberals? The very parties who have been squabbling and blocking all forms of progression in Parliment? I know excatly who i'd vote for, and it wouldn't be a party renknowned for racism or a party reknowned for inner party chaos and disorder. I would vote for the party with the only Asian political leader to ever be in this position, the only party that is responsible for the rule of law and safety of our country and the only one that came to its need in a time of near apocalyptic events, the only party that has ever come close to admitting its mistakes and amending them with haste: the Military Party. That, is my opening statement.

The Conservatives have always been a controversial party throughout the nations history. Supporting apartheid in South Africa, fighting against the immigration of Africans, Chinese and Vietnamese, trying to halter the peace talks with North Vietnam in 1968, the multiple MPs fired for racism in the 2000s, the list goes on and on: but so does the Party. The Conservatives will never die in Sumatran politics, as there will always be opposition to the majority.
The Conservatives are a “pro-heritage”, pro-business, right wing party whos members are often members ofs ociety with more controversial views than the majority. They are the self proclaimed “bastion against so called so social justice”, reknowned for refusing to support programs that would support the natives in the North and East. “We help our own” being a common motto used. Suprising to many out side onlookers of Sumatran politics, but the Conservatives are almost the sworn enemies of the military. Whilst they claim to support the troops and want a strong army many a Con has called for a "culling" of military leadership, with one MP citing they are "left wing nuts who want to put real sumatrans above the likes of immigrants and other asians". This criticism of the Military Party increased ever more after the Junta legalized many drugs and put them into military control, their way of fighting back being to vote against any sort of help for drug addicts in Parliment.
The Conservatives success has mostly been blamed on their vicious control of the tabloids, with many of the right wing media moguls putting their support behind the Cons, keeping them supplied with funding even when the votes are right at the bottom. Their current leader is Abraham Mosley, the owner of the National News Corporation, the third largest media corporation in Sumatra. Throughout his political career he has always been very pro-freedom of speech and he has been very outspoken for his anger towards the Junta of 1973 (He was only allowed to return to the country in 2006 after he refused to pay taxes brought in by the Junta) and has often been accused of funding “hacktivists”, anti-military street action groups and anarchist riot gangs in his vendetta against the armed forces.
He is openly against any form of legalizing prostitution and has stated he would immediately try and veto it the moment he could. (It has been pointed out to him that the Prime Minister does not have a Veto power)

Pictured: Mosley's opening comment live on air
“Tell me Sumatra, do you really want a return to the Junta? To have your door broken down by some jack boot, who's family isn't even from this nation, for him to drag you out onto the street so the police can beat you half to death before dragging you into prision purely because you used some racist language online? I don't agree with full blown racism, but it is still their right to say what they'd like, wether the military likes it or not. Sumatra had better vote for the Conservatives, or even the damned Liberals, because if they don't..... I don't think its the Sumatra I grew up in anymore.”

The Liberals are a modern party (created in 2001) but they sure have made an impact, or alternatively an embarrassment of themselves if you ask some of their opponents. Set up in order to be an opposition to the right wing Cons and the centrist Mil Party by Janet Barker MD, a far-left militant protester, the Liberals have grown and shrunk quite a lot over time with each passing year, renowned for being one of the best parties to vote for in by-elections when wishing to preserve laws assisting natives or Asians. In fact, the party's manifesto makes quite clear it is a major supporter of Asian rights movements in Sumatra, as well as trying to bring more power to workers
Sorry if I'm posting in the wrong thread for this, but where do I enter for this? I'm highly tempted to make a small group of a few Finnish or Russian farmers with some old rifles and a rusted T-34.
