Hello, everyone. I've been lurking around this thread for a while, trying my best to learn what and what not to do, and I've finally decided that I am ready to create a faction. I've mostly been working on Reskinning the Cold War/90s Soviets, but I need help with bodygrouping them so they look more unique and not as generic. Thank you for your time.

So after some time being dead here in the thread, I decided to revamp the Platine Commonwealth. Now known as the [B]Confederation of Salvador, COS for short.[/B] Faction's flag. [thumb]https://orig00.deviantart.net/541a/f/2017/278/3/4/commonwealth_flag_new_by_ninjapupper-dbplgq6.png[/thumb] The Confederation's origins traces back to the 1830s in Brazil, the country was ruled by a series of Regents until the Emperor was old enough to assume the throne, the bad admistration as well as other social setbacks regarding Slavery, the centralization of the government in Rio de Janeiro and the arrival of Liberal ideas from Europe, led to a series of Rebellions inside all of Brazil, with 3 occuring in the Northeast region of the country. These 3 rebellions gained strenght and territory, becoming then inspired by another, long defeated, faction which claimed for a free Republic based on individual liberties and rights which the current ongoing fighters had in common, leading them to unite under a single flag to fight for secection; the Confederation was proclaimed in 1844 at the city of Salvador, it's first capital, and was finally recognized in 1848 by Emperor Pedro II. In the following years, the COS has focused much of it's efforts in generating riches, industrialing itself, opening up to the world and respect of individual liberties (shown by as soon as the country's Constitution was estabilished, slavery had been abolished) and an overall friendly approach to other nations. This led to multiple trade agreements with European nations such as France, the United Kingdom and later on, Germany, leading the country to adapt many aspects of their cuture, life style and in some cases even language, which repeated during the Cold War with the United States. This tradition has led the COS to develop economically in a faster pace to it's neighbour, modernizing itself in every aspect as well, the country becoming Industrialized by the time WW1 broke out, which shows off up to this day, with Salvador posessing high living standards (specially for a South American country), a competent industry and service providing sectors, as well as a Military in steady modernization process. Despite it's friendly and more diplomatic approach, the COS has ever been wary and rather paranoid of a war with it's continental sized neighbour, which were close calls throughout it's entire history, specially during Brazil's authoritarian regimes, this has led the entire nation to prepare it's military and it's people for an eventual war, with elements such as conscription (which has been slowing down in recent years), fortification of borders and other aspects, very similar to the Swiss National Redoubt, which have been questioned given the last years of peace and stability in the area, with many arguing the country's focus should shift more to social welfare, scientific research and other areas.
