That way if an addon is erroring it wont work, people will complain to the author who will fix the errors, and they don't have to refind and resubscribe to it on the workshop. Unsubscribing seems a bit heavy handed - you of all people should know you can't expect a developer to test every single case and eventuality that could arise through the use of their addon. Besides, what about addons that cause other addons to error?

The biggest would be Valve's idiotic licensing scheme (anything you post on Workshop collectively becomes their property to do whatever they see fit with, including commercial use without paying you.)

This stuff is there to cover them in a huge array of circumstances (as workshop does). Just because they're in a position to fuck you - it doesn't mean they will. It's Valve. They're not gonna.

Out of curiosity, Garry, exactly how much control do you have over the GMod Workshop? Like, what do they let you do with it and such? Don't you also have some sort of line to VALVe over it where you can say stuff like, "Hey, this or that thing isn't really up to snuff or Workshop is missing what I'd consider a pretty essential feature, could you take a look at it?"
