How many emails do you think Garry gets regularly? It's very unlikely my problem will be addressed.
Hell, dude. DO SOMETHING. Stop crying around. Stop trusting people around you AND DO SOMETHING
FOR YOURSELF, ALONE!
1. You ASKED Dell if you can run Windows 7/8/Whatever on your PC and they said no.
2. You THINK Garry won't mail you back.
None of that is true.
Don't be so pessimistic, don't live with mistakes of others.
If someone told you Moon doesn't exist, would you blindly believe him or go out at night and check if it's there? (Yup, i'm creative. :D)
There are SHITLOAD of other possible ways you could use Workshopper.
1. Pirate windows (we don't recommend it, but, hey, it's an option)
2. Buy windows
3. Install windows on your PC/Install windows on a virtual machine, so you can only use it for workshopper
4. Write your own version of workshopper

I've not only talked to Dell, I've done other research too, I'm rather adept at using google. And again, I'm not going to upgrade my system unless I have the ability to use 64 bit processing.
I don't have the extra space to hold much virtual pc space either. I've tried that option too. Rather not waste my hard drive space that I could be using for addons instead.
Also, I'm more logical than you give me credit for. I don't fall for something very easily, such as believing that upgrading is the only way.
I also have said in a previous post, that I saw that someone had a fix and they said something about it, but I have no idea how to implement that fix. I already know that the file can be extracted via 7zip and I could technically mess with the files, but I don't have a proper decryption tool that would allow me to make the necessary fixes.
Alright, back on topic, does anybody know what could cause error 25?
First of all, I'm 24 years old, enough kid stuff. And second of all, why suggest windows 8? It literally like, just came out. I'd rather windows 7. And if I'm going to get windows 7, I'd rather make sure I have a 64 bit processor first. My current hardware setup is incapable of 64 bit processing. Every last one of you are bitching and moaning about windows xp as if I'm saying I want compatibility with some backwater company's operating system that no one has ever heard about, what the hell is wrong with you? All I'm asking is that all parts of gmod be treated equally and be compatible with everything that the others are compatible with. What is so damned hard about that? If you refuse to provide windows xp compatibility for the uploader for workshop, why not revoke compatibility for gmod? Why does no one see this? "upgrade or gtfo" is one hell of a bullshit attitude, knock it off. I don't have the money for an upgrade, get the fuck over it.
I really wish Garry himself would post something about this issue so we can finally have some damned closure. I'm tired of dealing with people who aren't even part of the programming process.
This is what I see:
Bold lettering. Your choice of words and eminence of thought really make that phrase ten times better.
'First of all,' you're "24" years old and you're starting arguments stating your age first, obviously setting off some vibe that - that needs to be known, so others will see you as better. 12 years old, or not, your statements are stupid. Your real age, laughable (especially with your '24' outburst), makes your posts even dumber than they would be even if you were 24. You're not understanding what people meant by the upgrade part. I love XP as the next developer, but it is becoming outdated. I'm selling that Premium big package crap because I don't need it, but others want it. 170 dollars, people are offering me. Windows XP is still used, but shouldn't be expected to be compatible with every new program that comes out today. Your grammar and ability to make functional sentences are outright disturbing. Don't start sentences with unnecessary conjunctions. It literally like [pause. a comma. right there. shit my britches, bitches, he's gonna!], just came out. Windows 7 is by far, the best OS made to date, but bandwaggoning your Third Reich speech WinXP was just plain dumb. You're grounded. Go sit in your room, look at the wall, and think about what you've done.

I never said windows 7 wasn't the best, I'm saying that I can't afford it. What part of that can't you understand? And you make yourself look even worse than me, by assaulting my own posts and exaggerating the issue.
I understand fully about their dispute on windows xp versus windows 7. I've used windows 7 before, I just don't have the spare money for getting that kind of upgrade. I would dearly love to upgrade.
May main dispute is that Workshopper for Gmod isn't compatible with windows xp, whereas Gmod is? doesn't that kinda seem messed up? Does no one understand how weird that is? No company in their right mind makes a part for their program be compatible with one thing, and provides no support for it on another part. That's just bad business. You're better off making it equal compatibility so you can make sure that everything works right. Either remove windows xp compatibility for Gmod, or provide windows xp compatibility with the Gmod workshopper, how hard is that for any of you to understand? I would accept it either way. If compatibility was taken away, then I'd just get over it and play something else. If it was granted to workshopper, I'd be thankful and start working on coding efforts.
I'm not being malicious, I'm not being rude (At least not to anyone who isn't rude to start with). And even with all the negative feedback I've been getting about my little 'crusade for equality', I've been as formal and respectful as I can be, given the circumstances. There's nothing wrong with me requesting what I've been asking for. Not a blessed thing. So enough negativity, enough bashing. Let's get off this topic and move on to something more productive than bashing a forum user for asking for help on a particular issue.
And for anyone who cares, no reply yet from Garry through email.

Any file I try to add turns red no matter what kind of file it is.
Hey um, on behalf on the addon-makers and myself, when are these new command-line tools with a gui built ontop of it being released? 1.0 is getting worse by the day and now it doesn't even work at all to many people.
I'm having trouble running the Workshop, it always says it cannot initialize Steam.
EDIT: I've found the problem, just needed to run as an administrator!
Yep, Can't update anything anymore.
Ok guys, this workshopper will let you upload addons to live version of Garry's Mod.
Be aware that a few things may have changed since you last tested your addon on the GMod 13 beta - so it might be throwing errors. So after you upload be sure to test it!
I'll be deleting addons that are throwing a lot of errors

* Windows Vista or higher
Enjoy!
New workshopper is up. http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?p=39453563
I made a user-friendly .bat thing for both the file packager http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1242185
and for the uploader:

Hopefully that helps :3

Yeah, I've noticed that too, it's been off and on. I guess the server that lists all the addons has been going offline a lot lately.
