Yeah the kids starting to get on my nerves too.
Not only that but the old pack calls the same models as the new ones, so if it dosen't crash gmod it breaks the newer working addons.

This is why we can't have good things. People that do that are a disgrace to the community. You don't re-upload when you've been told to take it down. :I Even worse when there's an already working version of it on Workshop.
More. Ball-socket and Axis center.
Wow, workshop even allows you to delete user comments? That's as bad as youtube.
It's always been a problem, and probably always will be
Same guy uploaded more useless misleading crap here.. ugh!
Have you ever considered actually emailing garry?
Because he doesn't seem to care so much(atleast he's not posting which means something I guess).

He didn't even posted a screenshot and a real submission description.
What is cool on GameBanana is that you can only remove a rating when its unjustified and comments are removed by admins so no abuse of the poster.
.
Use the report feature on workshop. It's gotten the stolen uploads of mine deleted within a day or so each time.
I've all but given up hope on Workshop at this point; the larger portion of the community is once again proving they don't care about the rules or have enough sense to respect the wishes of the creators.
Someone uploaded these broken things again...
Here's the original upload.
Already reported them.
Gettin' real tired of your shit Workshop...
I think I know how to solve that problem, simply separate dupes away from workshop. I can't find any addons I want when I use the text search because I get fifty billion of those things cluttering up the search window. I don't trust the checkmark tags as much as I probably should, but I've still come across some things that are addons, but aren't tagged as an addon.
I mean, honestly, if I wanted dupes, I'd search dupes, you know?
I'm part of a gaming community that attempted that once
Needless to say it quickly devolved into shit.
The problem is not the dupes themselves but how we manage them- and its so easy to create a crap dupe and upload it. I could literally do it in 30 seconds. So basically there is no solution until we can figure out how to manage something that could take no effort to a lot of effort
Heck, the community is supposed to do it by upvoting/downvoting but so far what I have seen is that my friend uploaded a very well made "middle eastern house" comppsed from what i think are CSS props and got 2 downvotes, yet a different friend of mine uploaded a poorly made DarkRP hobo house and got 7 upvotes.
Add that to the fact that for some reason using custom ragdolls put in crappy poses gets you almost a hundred upvotes even though you're making people download an entire nude character pack for just one of your poses
It'll take a miracle to pull it off.
Now that I think about it maybe we should separate tge dupes from workshop- the server I administrate has already had to create a line of code that calls the player an idiot and slaps them when they try to use duplicator tool.
It's Dr. hismario123 again. How is this not surprising?

Claims "I MADE IT THIS TIME GET IT" when it's just a re-upload of this:
http://www.garrysmod.org/downloads/?a=view&id=37991
There is also the keypad cracked tagged "gamemode" and i don't think he made it.
Why isn't that guy banned yet? After what must at least be his tenth offense, a banning is obviously the only way to get through to him.

What makes this worse is that they're 8 years old. This is an uphill battle. I just reported them for it. I warned them in the comments that they should at least give credit, then proceeds to dodge the topic by pointing out their display name. I've got no patience for those who refuse to be honest.
And yet not a single fucking wiremod download appears on the workshop
Of all the things to ripoff it should be something as ubiquitous as wiremod! Yet no one has put it up? How come the wiremod team themselves havent put up a rudimentary wiremod addon for mac and linux users?
What makes this worse is that they're 8 years old.
The minimum required age on Steam is not 13 years old ?
And i don't think those kids realize that NOBODY cares of their save or """addons"""

There have been several of them but they all got reported and taken down...
There have been several of them but they all got reported and taken down...
Well they should have had left one up
Why upload something that is on gmod.org already? Unless you plan to update it there isn't a reason to upload something that is on the web.
Report or not, doesn't matter someone will always upload someone else project "claim" to be them either by name change or what ever excuse. Kids what can we do? Make a thread about them.

I already stated that the only addons that work on Mac/Linux are gmas.
PUT WIREMOD ON WORKSHOP
PUT WIREMOD ON WORKSHOP
Not going to happen.

I can't speak for Mac but there isn't even an official linux client. Linux servers mount legacy addons just fine.

I thought there WAS a linux client
I heard some people talking about using it during the beta period but havent heard since
But yea, they really should put one on the workshop just for the purpose of compatibility.
[editline]10th January 2013[/editline]
I mean, whats stopping them? Do they really want everyone to use the SVN? All they need to do is update the workshop with every major release. A user could even do it for them.

1) Valve license compatibility; if you actually bothered reading the thread you are posting in, you would know that. In order to legally upload Wiremod, you would need permission from every single contributor. That is dozens of people, and a lot of them have not been heard from in years.
2) Workshop is garbage for large addons. Where SVN only downloads new/modified files when you update, the workshop downloads the entire addon again.
Well that doesn't change the fact that I still need it
Badly
Then get it from the official Wiremod source?
Then get it from the official Wiremod source?

Went there but couldn't find it; I could only find the legacy version.
And where would they get their hands on a .gma packer?
[editline]11th January 2013[/editline]
In case you didn't get the hint, I want to be able to use this on a mac. I already used the Ghetto-SVN executable file and have the latest updates to wire but it only works on my windows partition which is unusable atm and for a long time. I would transfer the directory over but like I stated before,
LEGACY ADDONS DON'T WORK ON MAC
