It'll be worth all the broken addons for sure!
And the magically disappearing ones.
Yep, same for me and others who I've asked...
I have the same problem This is my timestamp.log: 0.0851 / 0.0851: LoadAppSystems: Took 0.0851 secs to load libraries and get factories.
ITT: people from 2010 cry about the "instability" and "failure" of Steam based one a once-per-decade occurance A Thursday night without GMod won't kill you. Let Garry get his beauty sleep, and soon enough everything will once again be right with the world.
Same issue on a PC.
GM13 is already out... And I am having the same problems as you guys are only the thing is with me, I'm on a mac? :/ Usually the errors seem to occur on just one OS :S
I am on a mac as well, I dont ususally use macs but Im not at my house
I skipped page 2, inb4 hate. I heard from a person that its the launcher itself thats broken. Also i heard (havent tried cause im lazy) that you can go into SourceSDK? forgot the exact spelling, and launch a map from there and gmod will start just fine. Heard that from a TTT Coder and map maker.
Gmod 13 is broke no thanks to a TF2 update, but thankfully the Beta still works.
Give Garry a break, it's like 4 am in England ATM. It won't be long before he fixes it.
Give Garry a break, it's like 4 am in England ATM. It won't be long before he fixes it.
Who is doing otherwise? It's not like he is going to wake up because people post here.
Who is doing otherwise? It's not like he is going to wake up because people post here.
Certainly not with that attitude. In all seriousness, it looks like we have to wait this one out. I'm going to go play hatfortress.
ITT: people from 2010 cry about the "instability" and "failure" of Steam based one a once-per-decade occurance
I wish that were true, I was one of the first 9000 Steam users, pretty much as soon as Steam was first released, it was a horrible mess which had so many problems.
Hopefully he will fix it soon. I don't want to miss out the whole day waiting for Garry to fix it.
Hopefully he will fix it soon. I don't want to miss out the whole day waiting for Garry to fix it.
Go outside, enjoy the world ending all around you.
A Thursday night without GMod won't kill you. Let Garry get his beauty sleep, and soon enough everything will once again be right with the world.
People seriosly act like its the end of the world, is Garrys Mod the only game on their computer for some people? geez
The new engine will prevent downtimes from happening because I can ship my own updates.
You had one job.
Go outside, enjoy the world ending all around you.
I normally would but I'm not at my house today and this is a very shady neighborhood. I might as well clean the backyard of where I'm at though... (Want to see your years of service :P)
Go outside, enjoy the world ending all around you.
I would if it wasn't midnight and I didn't have to go to school tomorrow. Maybe I should just go to sleep.. or watch LOST :D
I have an idea. How about we punch some babies, that always seems to solve everything.
I have an idea. How about we punch some babies, that always seems to solve everything.
Somehow I dont think that would be very effective...
I wish that were true, I was one of the first 9000 Steam users, pretty much as soon as Steam was first released, it was a horrible mess which had so many problems.
I've been using it for quite a while too, and apart from a few hiccups I've had no problems with it. If you honestly find that much wrong with it, go try Origin or one of the other account-based download managers out there.
Reason for GMOD breaking - http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1234236
It appears to have been a Engine update... You know what I think? I think VALVe should keep their engine updates to their games, and Garry's to his.
ahem... smart person. Gmod runs on the Source engine.... So if Valve updates their engine... Gmod does.
Hmm I wonder how many things this next update will break, or hell maybe it will finally fix somethings from the garrys mod 13 update.
Hmm I wonder how many things this next update will break, or hell maybe it will finally fix somethings from the garrys mod 13 update.
Fix things in GMod 13... What is this madness you speak of? Edit: That is not a meme so don't you dare ban me...
It's Source's master plan to eliminate the competition of its Filmmaker.
ahem... smart person. Gmod runs on the Source engine.... So if Valve updates their engine... Gmod does.
GMod 13 is on its own engine. To prevent this from happening.
GMod 13 is on its own engine. To prevent this from happening.
Technically it is not its own engine, it is just running off a modified version which is obviously still connected to the source engine update otherwise we wouldn't be having this problem. So technically ace was right. [editline]21st December 2012[/editline] Dammit this crap is still not fixed. I wanna test out a few things on ULX :(
