I doubt someone would be using a proxy while gaming, wouldn't that substantially increase his ping?
I was on my VPN for 3 days without noticing the other week.
It only adds about 5 latency onto my traffic, 5 isn't much to notice if you don't give a crap about ping long as it's bellow 200 :)
TAKE HIM TO COURT ;D

Also, you have his IP.... YOU CAN LOOK WERE HE LIVES!
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that his DNS?
Not sure why you were rated dumb because you're right. But mabye the fact that you missed the point. The DNS almost always has the ISP. In my case, Cox.net

Ah. I see what you were talking about... Yeah he is just an idiot.
Yeah..
You got the IP of my DNS Darth. Good job! Here, have a cookie. That's not my IP.

Not really, it'd improve your reputation for taking care of a baddie.

I personally use a VPN all the time - because I get better latency over the VPN then over my ISPs network (they have BAD routing.. routing me through half the US then back up to Seattle and then to the east coast......).
Its possible to have fast enough internet to use a VPS smoothly but the VPS have faster internet than you making everything faster in general. :magic:

If you're not willing to stop the guy, why are you asking for help?

I've seen some funny stuff with US routing.
I had to run a VPN between a west coast server and east cost before, it worked out $100 a month cheaper by using the stupid damned host and running a GOOD vpn to link them.
Within the EU and to it's geologically close allies I've never had the issue, but some US routing is just so god damned stupid.
