Yes, Garry's Mod 12 just updated and crashes + broken sound

Well guys i start up gmod and i move my mouse around the buttons and i dont hear anything. I joined a server and i could only hear my friend talking and i could hear his tool gun and all working and had their sound so idk what the fuck is up :/

Valve broke Gmod with their latest patch for source. Not only are the sounds are broken, but loading maps in singleplayer are fubared.

Nope. None at all. I don't have any addons aside from wire, so I wont get any from there anyway.

TF engine update, means also serverside updates so pretty much yeah.
I haven't updated my linux server and I can still join it so if you want non updated server files do ask. Hopefully Garry manages to push the updates at least before monday.

I play role play and every time someone shoots a gun I crash, so yeah looks like i'm not playing role play today!

Everyone can not see the icons for the props.
Just tried the game. All sounds but weapons are muted. Console is spammed with the thread message. Didnt crash however.

Sure its delayed, but it is only a month away and he wants still to do a lot of work on it, which is his reason for the delay in the first place..

Yeah but he got a crew who is helping him trust me, and last time this happend he fixed it in uhh... a day?
Here's what happens for me...
Gmod 12...
* Game launches fine, but freezes and stops responding when trying to load a single player map or join a multiplayer server.
Gmod 13...
* Bodygroup changer, lamps and lights all give me strange LUA errors.
* Game crashes to desktop when trying to load any save games.

If it's the addon tool, I've got a fix for that:
Just simply replace "!ValidEntity" with "!IsValid" and the Bodygroup Changer will work.

I think that if the game crashes, I'd assume that it's not just crashing out of spite. So I'd assume something else was wrong.

I think what hes saying is that the crashing isn't the problem but is caused by the problem.
This is really fucking disappointing... I've been waiting all week to make a video that I've been planning, and now this. And it looks like it won't be fixed for a while.
Oh well, may as well play on the beta version instead.
My client doesn't crash, but sounds and icons don't load well as everyone else states. SMG + AR2 load sounds fine, certain turrets load fine (sound) and such... The Irony of all this is that I am able to join servers 100% faster than usual.

I would too if it didn't take like 60 minutes just to load a map because I have like 10 addons and wiremod.
