Yes, Garry's Mod 12 just updated and crashes + broken sound - Help

On the topic of Gmod though, I've gotten reports from the 100+ Garry's Mod Players on my friends list that it seems Some PHX Sounds work. But... Not for everyone. Edit: Ninja'd! Agh! No, I wasn't. I haven't started Gmod for around 12 hours. Edit2: Wait, is there someone impersonating me? Because I'm certain I'm the only one to use this name.

Whelp, I'm sure I'm not the only one having this problem but yes I'm having the icon and sound issue PLUS when I connect to a MP server, the game freezes halfway through loading, then about 5-10 minutes later loads the server only to freeze within 10 minutes and it will not unfreeze, I've waited for 20 minutes already. No issues with crashing, just freezing and not unfreezing. I'm on Windows Vista, but my friend who is on Windows 7 is having the icon and sound issues, but not the freezing issues.

Singleplayer is broken as well. I can't even load the enter the singleplayer server and it freezes while loading the resources. I also try to wait it out but I had about 5 hours of waiting still no response. It doesnt even have the hl2.exe crash notification. Singleplayer is broken for me Anyone else having this situation?

Yup. SP broke and our server stopped booting after executing TCAdmin's steam update function. I can join other servers fine though, just to do some coding; what else can you do without sound?

It looked like something updated on Gmod, so I tried to run it just now... It didn't crash, but the thread error kept appearing in Console, no sound, and no spawnicons. Oh well, must've been something else updating and I just saw strange shit.

I hope this fix goes out with in the hour, I'm leaving for like a week, and won't be able to play Gmod for another log week.
