Because Valve needs to update the servers. Which can take hours. Or days or weeks. Only time will tell and time isn't telling. Wow what a ass.

well most of my freind have been saying it hasn't yet, but since garry already sent the update, it's just taking some time for valve to realease it, so by tomorrow we should all be playing again.

Just got my hopes up aaaaand their gone.
Guess I'll continue working on my game.

EDIT: It does work, still gets stuck on "Loading Resources" but actually doesn't freeze completely and continues, I am playing right now.

I never got crashes in the first place of this update, all I really noticed (And I could start stuff fine) was that the sound was gone. Or atleast, 98% of it. My main menu music worked and then gmod did not ever update until I kept fiddling with it and it FINALLY updated (like 2 days after the patch was released)
and now it does not work again... all i want is just working gmod thats all i want...
