I highly suggest you fellas to uninstall Avast and install Windows own Anti-Virus; Microsoft Security Essentials. For Windows 8 users, just enable it in Windows Defender. I've had it since it came out and had no issues with it, it's also very lightweight compared to Avast.
mse is bad, it has no generic detection. if theres a zero day or a virus not added, to put it lightly, youd be fucked. also, why do all you think its a virus? its just a false positive
Here's a very easy fix uninstall avast and get malware/ learn how to fix shit yourself. Most viruses are easier as fuck to delete yourself. Just delete that garbage AV
Happened to me. I just restored the files and switched back to Security Essentials because avast was fucking around with me anyway, and I usually delete viruses myself. SE is just my backup plan.
