Valve Tools have got to be one of the most unstable programms I have ever seen. They are a great company but come on half their programms close down or crash for no reason atleast once a day.

Valve tools work mostly fine for me. No idea how this is related to the issue though.

According to some sources, Valve is working on an update to fix this. It's not Garry's fault. We just need to wait it out until it's fixed.
You can make a collection with every addon you have and when you press the "Subscribe all" button your addons are all back, but it can take a few minutes depending on how much addons you have.
Be careful though. When you do this for a couple of times, workshop will try to re-download ALL your addons. It won't even check if you already have the files for it. So chances are this will slow down your internet connection. If this doesn't happen to you, then continue doing it if you want.
Same on my end. All my shit it says im sub'd to won't show up in my Subscribed menu. First Metallica releases that awful whiplash wanna-be song and now this.
Worst case scenario: Dear Valued Customer, We are very sorry that all of your addons broke. You will have to reinstall gmod to fix the issue. From, Valve

This is how I fixed this issue. 1. Unsubscribe from everything 2. Delete your addons folder 3. Launch gmod 4. Start subscribing back to addons 5. When you have finished downloading addons, restart gmod You will need to restart gmod everytime you download a new addon from workshop or it will cause errors and addons will not mount properly.
Eek I don't want to wait half of the day to download 200+ addons :v:
Better than having no addons though.
Meanwhile if you want to play Garry's Mod with addons, just run Steam with offline mode, it'll turn on all addons at once, but that's sometimes better than nothing. If one addon causes problem, just move out/delete gma file, which contains problematic addon, which is located in <steam root>/steamapps/common/garrysmod/garrysmod/addons.
I tried going offline but I just crash, what is garry saying about this?

It loads every single addon that you've downloaded in the past, regardless of whether you're subbed to it or not. And when you've downloaded about 300 of them, Gmod moves slower than a continental drift.

Hold on in the top right of my game someone said something about Gmod 14 It says 14.##.## Gmod 14? Is it because i accidentally turned on my beta build and off really quickly? EDIT I validated Gmod It said 3 files were broken after i loaded gmod it downloaded 2 old files?

I'm having the same problems, but only really with the SentryGunMan's and some of _Sped's Cars. I thought that there was an addon that was uninstalling some of the addons from my GMod, turns out I'm not alone. Hope this gets fixed, even unpacking the addons into legacy addons doesn't help and all of my legacy addons work fine anyway (they never disappear randomly). Unpacking SGM Cars glitches out the sandbox, stopping you from using the spawnmenu and that lot so I can't do that :/
This sucks, considering I had a metric fuckton of addons.
So apparently the issue is that Steam Workshop content is being limited to 50 subscriptions across each workshop enabled game. Thanks Gaben.
Who's "Bright" idea was this?
Who's "Bright" idea was this?
I can see the meeting now. "Hey, how do we cut down the workshop server load?" "I know! Limit subscriptions to 50 per game, thusly disabling the already downloaded addons due to our shitty protocol."
What a stupid idea to limit it to 50 addons. That's why I prefer to use legacy addons instead, along with the SVN's that need to be legacy addons anyway. Soon, people will start using garrysmod.org again to download their files instead of using the workshop (if Steam limit users to have only 50 addons subscribed to on GMod)
Whaaaaaaat? What about game modes like GMod Tower? That's more than 50 addons in itself.
wait, so they fucking limited it to 50 addons? ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME? What the fuck, I literally cannot play this game without my 300+ addons. The fuck
Calm the fuck down guys, we get that you need all those guns and ragdolls from workshop, no need to scream about it every hour.

Thanks Gaben.
Where the fuck did you learn about this? This was for Skyrim only awhile back. They haven't limited shit, and I have a hard time believing that Valve or Garry would limit people to 50 addons since that's not something they would do. Here's a workaround for those of you that still haven't found it: http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1379037

This happened on Skyrim before, apparently.
