I was going to get a 965 for my budget build, but you've convinced me to spend another $150 extra dollars for a compatible motherboard that houses an i5. :downs:
I'll just quote one of my previous posts for you, being that you cannot read: " http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128412 Wow, this board is SO pricey! Note that this board has overclocked the i5 CPUs past 4GHz without a sweat. Or how about this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813130240 After all, it's been known to get an i5 to 4.3GHz: http://www.hitechlegion.com/reviews/...board?start=18 " You can also take a look at the H55 motherboards and see that they're very affordable. Being that you brought up the price:performance argument makes me realize that the majority of FP users are suffering from illiteracy.
http://www.anandtech.com/bench/default.aspx?p=118&p2=102&c=1 Seems to me that the 965 is better in all games
Hey guys! Lets get the shittiest Intel CPU and Compare it too one of AMD's best cpus! Yeah its such an even match! After all Intel Core i3 530 - 2.93GHz - 512KB L2 - 4MB L3 - blue vs. AMD Phenom II X4 965 BE - 3.4GHz - 2MB L2 - 6MB L3 - orange
Yeah, cant we all just leave phone and this thread alone, he wont listen to anyone's opinions let alone change his selfish mind. Let him go and take a bath in all his i5 750's.
Hey guys! Lets get the shittiest Intel CPU and Compare it too one of AMD's best cpus! Yeah its such an even match!
It's sad when Intel's weakest Nehalem beats AMD's top dog. Read the original post again ;)
I think Intel and AMD are both great companies, but honestly it depends on what you're gonna be doing, and what your budget is. You really can't compare
Great. A free-roaming Intel Fanboy detected. You are comparing new hardware to OLD hardware. AMD's answer to the iSeries isn't even out yet. €dit: Also Intel CPU's cost quite a few bucks more.
I wonder why :v:
Actually I did see that post, but seeing as you don't plan for the future, I was going to get a crossfire compatible board. See, as technology improves, my computer will become more and more dated, that's where the second GPU comes in. I've looked at LGA 1156 crossfire boards and they can go up to $300, and I don't have that kind of money. Why would I pay so much extra for what seems to be a 5-10 fps increase in a game that's already getting 120 fps?
mods sure are slow today why is this thread even here, I'm sure this section was at least that smart
apparently not

Next thing I know, you guys are going to give me a whole shitload of raged responses because you can't handle the truth.
derp
Actually I'm quite enjoying this argument, as Ph0ne has yet to supply a sufficient reason to buy an i5 over a 965. until he can give an argument I can't counter, I will continue to call you a fanboy.

BTW, when a 5850 is crossfired, it nearly doubles the fps in some games.

Damn, I'm not even that stupid. p.s. ATI and AMD are pretty good not saying there horribad I personally like both companys for different reasons.
You've obviously ignored all of my evidence showing that i5 is superior. [editline]06:16PM[/editline] Did you read my charts?
Indeed i did.
Maybe I will need it when my current card goes outdated? BTW, when a 5850 is crossfired, it nearly doubles the fps in some games.
Not really. All it does is just increase power draw and heat output. You're only going to gain maybe 5-10 FPS when two high end cards are put in Crossfire. The weaker the cards you're Crossfiring are, the better they're going to scale. [editline]06:18PM[/editline]
Indeed i did.
Then you've got to be a moron not to agree with me.

I must've fucked up somewhere.
Okay, listen. Intel's iseries are for the enthusiasts, while AMD is for people who are trying to get the most out of there budget.
This is just sad. I don't even want begin arguing with the OP.
I am leaving this argument. I feel like I'm not getting anywhere.
Okay, listen. Intel's iseries are for the enthusiasts, while AMD is for people who are trying to get the most out of there budget.
They're you go, SO if you're an enthusiast why not go with intel? Thats what i did.
