Ok, so right now i have a computer that can play absolutely nothing and so im hoping to upgrade. Last year i brought a GTX 260 golden sample + 650w corsair power supply thinking i'd just be able to shove them in my case. Little did i know that this graphics card is massive and so won't fit in the case + my motherboard does not have the two pci-e slots it needs.
So i'm asking pretty much everything else i need to go with the two components i have right now apart from a monitor, keyboard and mouse - which can wait. I'm in the UK and don't want to spend too much money but whatevers necessary to get decent performance i guess. Thanks.

Budget.
EDIT: wait, 2 PCI-E slots? did you get 2 260s?
GTX260 doesn't need 2 PCI-E slots... ?
Budget.
Well, i want it to be good quality but not cost too much - maybe £600ish
Oh sorry i only have one - i thought it needed two slots for some reason, my mistake - i'm not really very good with computers

Ok here you go:

Just chuck in another 2 gigs of RAM if you want, and swap in a case of your preference.
the 900-2 isnt worth the extra money over the 900
I would definitiely go with 2x2GB ram for that build
ninja'd
Also, go with another case like the CM 690 or HAF or something.
the 900-2 isnt worth the extra money over the 900
Thats why I said if he wants
I suggest he gets another case than the 900, for example a 690 or a HAF

and i was saying it isnt worth it so he doesnt need to

Case is basically down to personal preference, so yea go with a HAF or a Antec 300, 900, 1200 or w/e
Edit: god so many edits going on in here
Thanks for the help - where do you suggest I buy this stuff from?
I got all the other bits off Novatech and they seemed alright.
IMO 900 isn't even worth it over 300

SCAN
Novatech
Ebuyer

Novatech all the way, brilliant customer service, good delivery. I got all my shit off there
I think eBuyer is better since in my experience (several builds) their prices at least match and mostly beat the other sites (including Novatech) and then to top it off you get free postage, which can otherwise be quite costly with other sites (heavy components).

e.g £25 cheaper for basically the same result (the RAM has better timings on this one)

Another little question, is this gonna be able to play newish games? Basically is it an alright computer?
Absolutely
We don't do crappy computers here
If you want to upgrade from the still good, but slightly aged 260 (only for the bleeding edge stuff) then you could sell it on eBay and buy an ATi 5850.

Yea I can confirm this will easily be able to play new games, and like ferrus said, if you really wanted you could swap your GPU for a 5850.
