This isn't a CDMA phone.
They are probably going to make a CDMA version like they did with the HTC Hero and other Android phones.
Only problem I see with this phone is no multi touch
Only problem I see with this phone is no multi touch
proof.
proof.
There was an engadget article on it.
Only problem I see with this phone is no multi touch
There is no multi-touch in the browser and maps, but 3rd party apps can use multi-touch. Just like the Droid.
There is no multi-touch in the browser and maps, but 3rd party apps can use multi-touch. Just like the Droid.
And if the Nexus really doesn't have multi-touch....its only a matter of rooting, and adding it. If I can buy this from T-Mobile,I'll buy 2(One for root, one for backup).
I got to see one of these in action the other day since one of my friends works for Google. It is very slick. My G1 pales in comparison.
Actually, for some reason, multi-touch is far more available on the European versions of the Droid/whatever than they are on the American versions. Go figure.
I will be running a server on that shit, rawr.
Some companies deliver Turbo 3G with unlimited bandwidth here in sweden <3
Well, running a server would kill battery regardless if you have the bandwidth available over the air.

Americans are too stupid to use multitouch.
There is no confirmed release date, they are all rumors, and if it does come out, it will be sold unlocked. This means it will be very expensive ($700+), and only be available for use on AT&T's 2G network (who wants 2G on a phone of this caliber?), or T-Mobile's crappy shit coverage 3G network.

Irony, COMMENCE!
This isn't a CDMA phone.
My point exactly.

Oh god, I must be stupid too! Because no one ever spells wrong, especially if their main language isn't english :downs:
I think the android OS needs more games.

My first language isn't English either. I've only been speaking English for 6 years. Not a good excuse, mate.

It's not like you or anyone else never spells wrong. I don't really care...
Lets not clog up the thread shall we? I was joking.

Major rumors are saying it'll be subsidized through Google Ads, or something similar, so it will end up costing around $200.
And T-Mobile is growing amazingly fast in their 3G coverage, adding new cities a few times a week. And they will be the first network to majorly support HSDPA 7.2mbps. They are turning on HSDPA on all current 3G nodes by the end of the year.
I love my G1 and I've never been in an area without 3G coverage.

There is a reason they call them rumors!
There is a reason they call them rumors!
To be honest I trust Google not to stab everyone in the back and charge $700 for it. They don't seem like the type of company to do that, plus they wouldn't sell NEARLY as many if they charged that much.
Google isn't responsible for pricing.
Google isn't responsible for pricing.
They're the ones selling it, so technically they are
Producers, not developers. I'd say it would be up to HTC (or whoever makes these phones) to decide the overall price, since they know the most about the device and how much it costs to make, etc.
HTC may be making them, but ultimately it's Google that is licensing and selling the product for use, so I'd believe that they would choose pricing based on subsidation and other factors.
I want a CDMA version :saddowns:
I want a CDMA version :saddowns:
I believe they will roll out a CDMA version in time like they did with the Sprint HTC Hero.
Wonder if this will ever come to Aus
Wonder if this will ever come to Aus
It's being sold unlocked, I see no reason why you can't buy it and ship it there.

Interesting new encounter with the Nexus One, seems to further confirm this phone.

Umm - why?
Anyway, this doesn't look nearly as good as the Droid, and it doesn't have a hardware keyboard (I hate touchscreen keyboards) - won't buy
Edit: OK, fine, this one has a Snapdragon. Still not enough to convince me because, fuck, this is Android, not Windows Mobile, it's not unusuable on anything less.
