Well it looks like this isn't just going to be the 'Google Dev Phone 3', found some unboxing pics and videos.

What the fuck, a phone, an OS, a browser, and an All-in-One application? Shiiiit, surprises me that Google ain't playing with the big guys yet...

Yeah I just saw that on Engadget. Makes my G1 look like a slow piece of shit.
Looks cool, but I think I'll go with a Droid Eris.

The Droid Eris has the same processor as the G1, Magic, and the Hero, which is a 528mhz Qualcomm processor, the Nexus One is running Snapdragon clocking in at 1ghz, why would you want a phone with half the power and a smaller screen?
Engadget reports that it's releasing on January 5th by invite only.

Snapdragon is made by Qualcomm :eng101:
Other than that, agree.
I'm surprised by people saying it's stupid to have a 1Ghz processor in a friggin SMART PHONE.
I want a device, that has as much functionally as possible when I use my normal computers. I want a smart phone, not just some feature phone.
Agreed, but, hell, 500mhz+ are perfectly fine for an Android device, especially if it's generally low-end.
Oh and it saves battery usage.

Mainly because of the price. If the Nexus One is less than $150 (which it probably won't be priced at) I'll buy it.
Power isn't everything. 1Ghz probably translates to shit battery life, so I'd think twice.

I'm sure it will be adequate enough for a smart phone. Apple got more battery life out of the 600MHz 3GS iPhone than the 400MHz 3G one, so who knows what battery technology Google/HTC are packing in this. Also size of battery.
Actually, that claim was bullshit. When I switched from 3G to 3GS, the battery life got a lot worse. Might just be me using it more, but I doubt it.

I've noticed my friends 3GS lasts longer than my 3G :/
I like how Google employees' desks don't have anything but a MacBook Pro, food and some phones.

They have what they need and nothing else.
I'm guessing a 600 dollar price tag, also I'm getting this as a Dev phone

Just stop posting, everything you post is retarded
Troll much?
Looking at your post history, yep.
Fuck this new-age bullshit, T-Mobile G1 ftw. :q:

I WOULD agree with you,but since I've tried a few 2.0 ROMS on it,its been slow and lagging. Can't really say anything about the CLIQ/DEXT, because there are no ROMS for it yet. I'm having second thoughts about buying the Nexus if the CLIQ can run 2.0 smoothly (Working on a 2.0 ROM for CLIQ). But if that invite only crap is true, this phone will be a failure, unless you can invite people, then someone needs to invite their selves and make a invite bot.

DO WANT.
This is definitely going to be my next phone, seeing how I'm already on T-Mobile
It's going to cost £132 subsidised from T-mobile...
Dammit! My phone is on a 2 year contract.
Oh well, my Samsung Jét is fine :D I would consider this a lot though. Wonder if they (T-Mobile) could buy out my contract.
The mini review Engadget did has put me off the phone even more now.
Damn, I might get one. :O
Pretty awesome, but I was planning on getting a Chrome netbook for the internet functionality and just using my outdated phone as a phone. Wonder how good the music quality is.
Would be annoying carrying around a netbook, phone and iPod all the time.

I don't live in the UK, it's about $175 here or something like that.

All the Android phones so far (that have 3.5mm jacks), seemed to have decent music playback.
