not in this case.
Oh, cause you said so? Alright then.
Well I just upgraded to 7 from Vista, both Ultimate editions, and I can say I think 7 is way better than Vista.
vista is pretty old considering what happened in the last 3 years. (2010 just started..!)
lets see:
-Two process changes (45nm and 32nm)
-3 ATI series
-2 NVIDIA Series (soon 3)
-65nm - 40nm for GPUs
-Intel Nehalem architecture
-AMD K10
-1.5 TB HDD(?)
-Direct X 11
the list goes on. It's sorta unrelated, but it shows you can't really future proof because in the next two to three quarters your "fastest gaming" computer won't be as "fast" as it was before.
At least from Vista you can upgrade easily to 7.
Windows 7 has practically made drivers a thing of the past. Other than internal components nothing I have installed has required me to install drivers manually. Hell even some of my internal stuff was installed automatically.
Haha reminds me of that mac advert that said it took hours to install windows and drivers for it.
OS Ten point six.
How not in this case? What's different?
It's not an abbreviation. And it's not the name. It's pretty simple
It's not an abbreviation. And it's not the name. It's pretty simple
If OS X isn't an abbreviation I'm going to start pronouncing it "aws ecks".
It's not an abbreviation. And it's not the name. It's pretty simple
Oh yes it is:
–noun
1. a shortened or contracted form of a word or phrase, used to represent the whole, as Dr. for Doctor, U.S. for United States, lb. for pound.
Why you want to stick with Vista is beyond me, this is essentially Vista but 5 million times better.
Oh yes it is:
not in this case it's not.
not in this case it's not.
Are you a fucking moron? It by definition is an abbreviation. It's not conditional, there is no case.
XP is an abbreviation of eXPerience.
My bro got ultimate for 8 bucks as a gift for me
so yeah

That isn't what I was meaning so gg
Since Windows 7 Beta came out, they've pretty much fixed all the major issues with Vista. 7 is better, but I'd never pay the extra money for a "legit" copy of it when I've already got Vista. Since all my versions of Vista are legit anyway, there's no reason to pirate Windows 7. I'll be with Vista for a few years more no doubt.
That isn't what I was meaning so gg
Ok then what are you talking about?
OSX? Ok then acronym and abbreviation (still fits definition).
XP isn't an abbreviation of experience because that isn't that name of XP. The name of XP is XP, and that XP comes from experience doesn't have any bearing on that fact.
Haha reminds me of that mac advert that said it took hours to install windows and drivers for it.
My clean install of 7 took about twenty minutes. I was actually surprised because I honestly believed it would take a long time.
XP isn't an abbreviation of experience because that isn't that name of XP. The name of XP is XP, and that XP comes from experience doesn't have any bearing on that fact.
Um. You know it's said my Microsoft themselves that the real name of XP is eXPerience. It was even in the commercial.

That's pretty ironic when that link backs up what I've been saying all along

That article states that XP's name is eXPerience. You're ignorantly saying it isn't.
Yes, it is pretty good IMO. Faster than XP and it's pretty sleak. The memory usage is just as low, if not lower than XP unless you enable a bunch of extra features that XP didn't have, like desktop gadgets.
There's a lot of annoying file browsing issues for me because I am so used to XP, but I am getting used to it.
And yeah, you'd have to be pretty dense to not realize it's just a slightly revamped version of Vista. Do you really think they coded 50 million lines of code in like, three years? No. They just polished Vista and gave it a new skin. Like some people have said, it's the same kernal.
It's basically Vista with a new skin. The kernel's essentially the same, hence the change from 6.0 to 6.1 in the version number.
Wow, no it's not. Just because it has an aero skin doesn't mean that it's Vista. It is loads better than Vista.
I might pirate it.
Microsoft doesn't deserve my money. They have been bad boys and girls.

Then you don't deserve their operating system.

You are probably right.

No it does not.
No it does not.
EDIT: Ugh this isn't worth it. The damn article says that XP is short for eXPerience. Quit being stubborn and accept it. It's not any different than saying General Motors instead of GM.
