Does anyone know any good phones? I sort of want an Android one, but I really don't know much about phones. It has to be under T-Mobile, since that's what my parents use. Rooting would be cool. Oh yeah, and I want a touch screen. (And a keypad would be nice too)
Anything Android. HTC HD2 can run Android. Get that. I got that last summer, VERY VERY nice phone. I love it.
I'd say get a T-Mobile G2 (or HTC Desire Z in europe), it's got a physical keyboard which is nice for texting/typing, Gameboid/other games.
Slow and crappy.
Define slow and crappy.
Whatever you get, get an Android phone. T-Mobile doesn't have as many as say Sprint or Verizon, but they're awesome phones. But if you really want a good keyboard with no touch screen, you can't go wrong with a BlackBerry.
Define slow and crappy.
My recommendation: http://www.htc.com/www/product/hd2/specification.html Yours: http://technorati.com/technology/android/article/t-mobile-g2-specs-published/ Note the major differences in CPU speed, and screen size.
I'd recommend an Android phone, the HTC Desire HD is a very nice phone.
The HD2 is awesome except it runs WinMo instead of Android...
My recommendation: http://www.htc.com/www/product/hd2/specification.html Yours: http://technorati.com/technology/android/article/t-mobile-g2-specs-published/ Note the major differences in CPU speed, and screen size.
The G2 can easily be overclocked, and the screen size doesn't matter, what matters are the pixels, and since they're the same on both of them, it's gonna look more pixelated on the HD2.
N1 rom is ported regularly

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=793924
Informative. So you're running a custom Android firmware on your HD2? That's cool!
Informative. So you're running a custom Android firmware on your HD2? That's cool!
Told you it's a nice phone, that's the only reason I got it, fuck Winmo. [editline]6th December 2010[/editline] Read the first link I posted, there's tons of Android builds out there. But the Nexus One build I posted runs best with VBN Winmo ROM, and Radio version 2.14.

Any other suggestions?
be a real man and get a go phone. edit: sorry just noticed your avatar, its impossible for you to be a real man.

Samsung Galaxy S

Do not listen to Faze (he seems quite stupid judging by his previous posts around here, and especially the ones in this thread), if you are wanting to run Android do not buy the HD2. Also Faze the Desire Z/G2 can be over-clocked to around 1.5+ghz and outperforms the HD2's Snapdragon at stock clocks. I recommend to wait for the Nexus S (basically a Samsung Galaxy S but under Nexus branding and running stock android) in order to have the fastest updates to the newer versions of Android (It will be released with 2.3). Motorola cancelled the 2.2 update for my XT720, which I only got 3 months ago :sigh:.

I've had Ubuntu running smoothly on it, all thanks to WinMo (surprisingly). All of the emulators are written for Windows, therefore if you want to mess around with cell phone technology, you kind of need this. But if you want to pull it out of the box and use it, don't get the HD2.
Get the windows 7 phone. I hear its really nice.
