Just delete hal.dll, it's needed to boot the windows and you can delete it without problems while on, you only notice the damage next time you restart.
Get ProRat professional edition!
Wouldn't it be more interesting to disable explorer as the shell? :P
Shouldn't be too hard if you can change their registry entries...
Plus you don't need ownership for a number of of the files on vista for instance.

Or if you delete them trough anything but explorer. Like winrar, various filemanagers etc.
