Some linux games I like:
Battle for Wesnoth
A turn based fantasy game
Armagetron Advanced
Tron-like 3d bike/snake sort of game.
The lack off OpenTTD is disturbing.
I refuse to pay for ANY game that's over 10 years old.
Why?
Oh and...
SO YOU WOULD PIRATE HALF LIFE?

Shit's so addicting once you learn how to play it.
And it can easily be/fit on a 128megabyte USB stick :v:

I would, but I bought it when it came out.

I would've, but I bought it for 99 cents during the 10th anniversary deal. :v:

I play it on my 333 MHz P3 with 64 MB RAM(And the OS uses it all) laptop, and it still runs fine.
Perfect game to play on long trips. There is also a DS port, but that one misses some functions.
Had anybody tried compiling Dwarf Fortress source? They make only 32bit builds and I would need to recompile shitload of libraries in 32bit version to get it running. Much easier seems compiling the DF in 64bit, but I am unsure about how much work it would it need to do so.
@awesomecaek
it's in the arch aur.

They don't seem to have the latest version :frown:

I could compile it from source, I just need to know if the source is in state in which it wouldn't take 3 days to make it compile.

At least it's a fun game, in contrast with Windows.

Linux is fun. Windows 7 can be, so long as you don't fuck it up with shareware.
I like playing Savage and Savage 2, both work perfectly well in linux.
Also some Wesnoth, Liquid Wars, OpenTTD and FreeCiv

Still need to compile this one some time, pretty decent looking to.
[release]0 A.D.
0 A.D. is a free, cross-platform, under-development, 3D, historically-based, real-time strategy game.[/release]
Penumbra and Amnesia are two that come to my mind.
No one's mentioned Lugaru?
No one's mentioned Lugaru?
I bought it with the Humble Bundle pack, but never tried it.
Worth a try?
I preordered OilRush last week. Nice graphics, but I'm not into strategy games like at all.
This thread reminded me..isn't there a whole Fedora "spin" that comes with like 50 games on it?
Yeah, there is.
I bought it with the Humble Bundle pack, but never tried it.

Definitely. Once you've gone through the main game (or even before) download this:

The learning curve is steep, but once you get the hang of it it's great fun slaughtering legions of rabbits.
Urban Terror is by far the most fun game I have played on Linux.
As a plus, it also runs better on Linux than it does on Windows.
