Why that? The monitor I posted has a 10 mill contast ratio so it'll have more colors to it.
Higher resolution and you can't compare the contrast ratios between brands they use different scales. Also contrast isn't colors it is light and dark. [editline]10:45AM[/editline]
Oh duh, that was a stupid question. Just need to get a monitor with displayport now apparently.
Or an active display port adapter.
Higher resolution and you can't compare the contrast ratios between brands they use different scales.
They use the same scale, ASCR is just below DC but all the same scale. To me, I rather have more colors and a slightly faster response time.
They use the same scale, ASCR is just below DC but all the same scale. To me, I rather have more colors and a slightly faster response time.
CONTRAST ISN'T COLOR. Also you need to see a monitor in person to effectively see the contrast.
Here OP. http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/PublicWishDetail.aspx?WishListNumber=8643289
Here OP. http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/PublicWishDetail.aspx?WishListNumber=8643289
He could still get 3 monitors in the price range. :3: Or at least stay close to his budget.
I agree that you need to see a monitor in person to see the contrast and how good it looks but contrast will give it nicer colors.
Actually Quantuam drop the second set of ram then add 2 monitors. [editline]10:57AM[/editline]
I agree that you need to see a monitor in person to see the contrast and how good it looks but contrast will give it nicer colors.
No contrast is the difference between the brightest and the darkest on a monitor it is not the color.
Why not just get one radeon 5870 and then he cn get a second in the future instead of 2 5850?
No contrast is the difference between the brightest and the darkest on a monitor it is not the color.
You don't want colors that are too dark do you?

oh yes
Why are you buying XP and Windows 7? Regardless, I can tell you that the ASUS monitor is great, had mine for over 6-months and it's still really bright. No fading in or anything, and no back-light bleeding. Plus the different modes of screen settings are really nifty. However I'd recommend getting a separate set of speakers because the monitor speakers kind of blow. You also don't really need the Sata cables since the ASUS motherboard comes with them. At least two I think which should be enough.
Actually, most mobos only come with one SATA cable. So it's good to order another.
Actually, most mobos only come with one SATA cable. So it's good to order another.
My mobo didn't come with any cables. Just the mobo, manuals and that stuff and SLI bridges.
most don't come with any.

Newegg is only us [editline]12:05PM[/editline]
It could be canadian, .com is internaional, .us is for the US. E.G .co.uk is uk .tv is some random ex soviet country .us is US .de is Holland
and i have to disagree with that highly
.Com is an international thing, but when ordering from NewEgg.com then you must be a US resident. NewEgg.ca is Canada's version of NewEgg.com.cn is China's. * Newegg.com — principal site, for United States customers * Newegg.ca — for Canadian customers * Biz.Newegg.com — for corporations, resellers, schools and non-profit organizations. * Newegg.com.cn — for Chinese customers * NeweggMall.com — U.S. website with other third party vendors * ChiefValue.com — a sister website of Newegg.com which contains mainly computer products * ABS.com — System builder owned by Newegg * Rosewill.com — Newegg product brand Those are NewEgg's stores.
You don't want colors that are too dark do you?
That isn't it. Contrast is the difference between light and dark not brightness which is just how bright the screen is.
Alright then, thanks for pointing it out. OP, just pick any monitor you would like best.
Get a G15 and an X8 on there you get enough for them, fuck it get a G19 lol
There's nothing great really about a G15, I have one, it just makes me monitor temps and frame rates easier but otherwise, there's nothing special really.
I would Like non out of stock items please. [editline]11:36AM[/editline] Oh and I live In usa. added to op
Trade out that ram for this ram. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145263
It would probably be a good idea to go with a wired keyboard and mouse for a lower response time unless the positioning of the computer in the room makes it impossible. I have a Microsoft Sidewinder X8 in the mail currently which boasts a 1ms latency (comparable to a wired mouse) and the only reason I'm getting the wireless mouse is so that I have something that I can game with (I wanted to upgrade my junky dell mouse) and that I can bring around with my easily.

http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/PublicWishDetail.aspx?WishListNumber=10199474 Since I couldn't find any purpose for this computer in the thread, I assumed it was for gaming, so I went with the i5 with a Gigabyte ud4p. I have both of those myself and I can vouch for their quality. The motherboard comes with 4 SATA cables so you do not have to buy any extra. You can opt for a higher tier 1156 processor if you want. I switched the memory to 4 GB of G.SKILL Ripjaws which I also have. Their low voltage and proven quality make it a great match for the i5 processor. If you think you need 8 GB, you can easily addd another 2 DIMM and still be well within your budget. The Sapphire 5870 also comes with 2 free games. Thats a nice bonus. The DVD drive I changed to one that can write as well as read. The monitor I included is a samsung 25 inch. Samsung is well known for making the best monitors. You can switch out for a cheaper Monitor if you want. HAF 932 is a very good case that is easy to work with. Only the front fan is LED so if you want more flamboyant colors, you have to switch our the fans or buy some LEDS. Also, CoolerMaster has a new Blue HAF 932 our that looks like it comes with moar LEDS. The red one looks better IMO. The PSU I picked is an OCZ 700W. I have it and it is a great product. It allows for expansion if you possibly want a second 5870 (Which the ud4p allows for giving the maximum of 8x PCIe lanes allowed for each card). You can get a more expensive PSU such as the Corsair 750TX if you want. Seeing how the Megalahem is out of stock, you can get a dark knight now that the 1156 bracket is available. Pick out a thermal compound for yourself. I don't believe thermal compounds make too much of a difference. The razor deathadder and saitek eclipse are great peripheries. Don't get cordless if you can. My deathadder has served me well. I've tried out a friend's m500 and did not like the feel. The feet are definitely subpar compared to the deathadder's. Make sure you pick out a good mousepad too. I don't know about speakers so I didn't add one. Also, add the OS of your choice
protip 5850's OC'ed beat a 5870
protip 5850's OC'ed beat a 5870
5870s can be OC'ed too. x4 pcie lane will limit the 5850 even if its OC'ed.
