Neat. Imitate Google Chrome some more! It's had pinned tabs for like a year in the stable channel now.
Do you support the idea of Apple having a patent on everything the iPhone had that other smartphones didn't at the time of its release?
I love how they added Windows 7 features, and I just started customizing the jumplist and pinned Facepunch to it. :downs:
How did I miss this, neat.
Did they fix the tabs not always showing up correctly in the taskbar previews? I hate how there's always one that just appears white.

Tab previews have worked good for me on Firefox 4. I think there was once when they didn't work properly, but I think it was just the big preview.

Change Chrome to Opera/IE/Safari
Chrome has extensions in case you didn't know.
I like the way Firefox looks and acts right now. All they should do is just increase performance and reduce any chances of crashes like other browsers.

I'm pretty sure it's not possible for Chrome extensions to handle downloads.
Opera has a download manager.
I like the way Opera handles downloads, and have no clue how either IE or Safari handle them.

IE just has that small download window for every download you have running.

Why not? The entire browser is open-source.

rebuild the entire browser with a new download system
install an addon
choices

What does that have to do with anything?

Not equivalent.
The choice would be between:
Edit the browser by editing its code
Edit the browser by augmenting its code
Someone has to make DTA remember?

Damn people suck at reading.
I just think it's a bit silly to keep making a different browser while literally every feature that made it different is disappearing one by one.
Firefox only became one of the most widely used browsers by being different from all the others.

Unrelated to the thread but related to the link, I love how everyone, when touting their browser's private browsing features, always uses surprise gifts as an example, since the only obvious other option would be porn.

Not true. While that is one of the uses, I often use it to use someone else's computer and log-in to sites without staying logged in or messing with their logged-in cookies.
Not really.
Yes really. Do you really think that Firefox would be what it is now if it had been another copy of IE? No.
Users moved to Firefox, because it brought a new way to browse like no other browser could. Open source, addons, tabs, live bookmarks, PNG support, built-in searchbar, adblock extensions, etc... That's what set Firefox apart from another IE clone.
Doesn't half that shit come from Safari anyway?

Opera

Yeah, it's clearly unbiased considering you put a crown on the Firefox logo.
(I'm a Firefox user as well, but still.)
Opera
Most of the features Opera claims to have invented it actually didn't. Like tabbed browsing.

So where did you hide the arguments?
Most of the features Opera claims to have invented it actually didn't. Like tabbed browsing.
Opera had tabbed browsing back in 1994. It was also the first to have the integrated search bar, built-in popup blocking, page zooming, RAM cache, and many other features.

um, how about google actually wants browsers to adopt ideas from them so stop your bitching

That does look pretty interesting.
I'm still using Minefield. Gonna get rid of this and use Firefox 4.0 instead.
You realize that Minefield is the alpha of Firefox, and as such is further ahead than 4.0, right?

Yes, but it's unstable and some sites don't support it.
all sites support it, just change your useragent to say it's firefox
