Opera had tabbed browsing back in 1994. It was also the first to have the integrated search bar, built-in popup blocking, page zooming, RAM cache, and many other features.

Yeah, see, that's what I mean. That's the Opera propaganda that isn't true. NCSA Mosaic was the first browser to introduce tabs, introduced in 1992 and released in 1993.
Try reading it.
I did. It had some biased comments about Firefox, some comments about Chrome that weren't true, no arguments.

Err, Mosaic never had tabs.

Guess Wikipedia isn't always right then, since the browser to introduce a feature can hardly not have said feature.

I got the "Not a valid Win-32 file" error :c

I wouldn't know where I'm supposed to find a copy of NCSA Mosaic that would still work on modern computers, and frankly, I don't give a damn.

Mosaic was a very important internet browser due to its graphical interface. You'd think if it was the first browser to introduce tabs, there would actually be info about it on the net. I can't find anything.
Screenshots of Mosaic version 1:

I don't see anything remotely similar to tabs or an MDI.
I can find absolutely no reference anywhere on the internet to Mosaic having tabs.
If someone had an old Windows 3.0 machine, virtual or otherwise, they could test it for themselves.
Currently, I'm trying out Beta 3. So far, no problems at all.
It surely also feels faster.

I'm about to go back to 3.6.7. This dumb thing overtakes my taskbar for focus when in full screen.
Went back to 3.6.7 for Add-ons.
Two things I dislike about 4.
Tabs should act like Opera when maximized(Move to the title thingy), and there no add-ons jet.
AKA nothing important.
^
This has already been discussed, and to be honest, sometimes the discussion wasn't pretty. Just read the older pages and lets try to avoid that discussion once again.
But yeah, I see your point.
Who cares? Are we really complaining because we can?
This thread is about Firefox not IE not Chrome not Opera ok. Pointing out that they're copying each other won't change anything.
I don't really like the box at the top that says "Firefox" but when I switch back there's a nasty gap.

Absolutely loving the speed and look of Firefox 4. It's not ugly like Chrome is either.
Now if only addon developers kept all their stuff up to date with the latest firefox betas.

It'll let you use your add-ons, no matter what version they're set to work with.
However, not everything is compatible.
We really need that link added to the OP.

I wish the scrollbar and statusbar blended better with the top stuff, but maybe that's not so easy to change.

Also what site are people getting those Browser benchmarks?
Looks exactly like Opera.
I actually like that it looks like Opera, I prefer that look anyway. There are only a small amount of minor things and the lack of the Stumbleupon toolbar which makes me stick with Firefox.

I don't see why people are complaining about it looking like Opera. If it at least looks great, who cares.
Long before opera had that look, this exact look for firefox was posted by mozilla as mockups.
If anyone stole a design, it's opera.
However, not everything is compatible./QUOTE]
Exactly what I meant. I can use Nightly Tester Tools to override compatibility, at the cost of losing functionality. Not worth it.

Haha, no. We already went over this.
Umm, Opera had a fully working alpha build of their newer UI before those Firefox mockups were even revealed http://my.opera.com/desktopteam/blog/2009/12/22/from-all-of-us-to-all-of-you
The pre-alpha was leaked on the 20th of December last year.

The Firefox 4.0 mockups weren't revealed until the 21st - a day after.

You can try downloading the newest beta (it was just updated, don't know about beta1 though).
