Good thing I have cleartype disabled.
Where exactly do you enable/disable ClearType?
In my opinion ClearType looks better, so that's why I keep it on.
In my opinion ClearType looks better, so that's why I keep it on.
well your opinion is stupid because ClearType blurs everything and takes the crispness away
Where exactly do you enable/disable ClearType?
Right click desktop > personalize > display > adjust ClearType text

Everything needs anti-aliasing.
text doesn't need anti aliasing
Yes it does. Wouldn't want to cut myself when I'm reading. :v:
Can anybody explain why a little bar is appearing between my addressbar and search bar that I can drag to resize the searchbar/addressbar?

I'll stick with Chrome.
Pure raw speed hardly matters. Have you seen the test? It displays freaking graphics. In the end what's going to matter more is the feature set. Firefox 4 does have a new Javascript engine on the way, too.

Chrome is just plain faster in every aspect. Browsing is faster, the interface is snappier and loads faster, even installing extensions is faster. There's a very noticeable difference in speed between the two browsers.
In terms of features, what the hell is new for Firefox? So far it's really just a new interface (which isn't even unique}.

I've tried both, it seems to me that Chrome is quite slow in loading elements and Firefox is faster.
Do you have a low end computer?

our definition of low end or yours?
our definition of low end or yours?
don't start, it's pointless
Planning on haunting you for the rest of your life. Whenever you say high end, midrange, or low end, you'll hear in a whispered tone "mine or yours?"

It's faster for me in every aspect.
No, I have decent gaming comp.
I like it.
Which looks completely like the Opera build that was released the day before those mockups were released.

Epic.
For some reason, Firefox decided I didn't need 4.0b1 anymore, and reverted back to 3.6.6... what the fuck?
Also, NONE of my add-ons work... except ABP.

My computer, Chrome was faster at everything, Though I'm currently posting from a Firefox Beta... Firefox just still holds me somehow, Might make the switch end of the year/next year.

Find me something that Chrome does that Firefox can't

Isolated tabs and plugins
Modular extensions
A new tab page with actual stuff in it
Detection of text links in right-click menu
Desktop notifications
Page content indexing in history
Built-in bookmarks/settings/themes sync (with extensions sync and other features already in the dev builds)
Incognito mode that doesn't temporarily remove your normal browser session
I could go on
[editline].[/editline]
I realize you could use extensions for some of those features, but I'm talking about built-in features. I shouldn't need to install a shitload of addons just to make a browser at least slightly usable. Chrome has extensions too, anyway.

Why are you singing the praises of Chrome so high in a Firefox thread
I can survive without many of those features
So what if Chrome is ultramegablazingsuperlightning fast
So what if Firefox is playing catch-up
I've got every major browser on my computer and I use them all every now and then, my primary browser is Firefox

Overall its personal preference, to me I hate chrome, it's too minimalistic and chocked full of shit I don't need.
I don't want each tab to be a new exe which takes more resources than cramping it down into one, so what if that exe crashes, it's your fault if it does so because you've made it unstable.
So what if Chrome runs off webkit, its sluggish on gif images and I hate it for that, sure it scores 100\100 on acid3, but acid3 is really starting to show its age as a test now.
Chromes javascript engine is a pathetic joke compared to Opera's, not that FireFox's is any better.
Chrome is limited on it's customisation factor, yeah you can change a few ini files, wootedoo both Firefox and Opera give you more control over the UI, Opera is EXTREMELY generous with it's UI as you can change any factor of it if you want.
In short, browser war and Opera currently stands above the rest as it shares a factor of all the browsers.
Customisation, appeal and speed.
I'm not saying you should use Opera, personally I use Firefox but overall the best browser on the market currently I would believe is Opera.

FYI, you can have Chrome run in a single process through a launch command.
I like the minimalism.

I agree completely.

Shouldn't have to use a launch command really.
Shouldn't have to use a launch command really.
Well you shouldn't need to run it in a single process. By doing so, you're making the browser less secure, slower, and susceptible to crashes.
Anyone notice the tabs open new windows for some reason?
