People who say LCDs on keyboards are useless haven't watched the Matrix trilogy on it while playing some games.
Oh wow, That would be a pain to focus on, I prefere watching it on my 2nd 23" monitor :buddy:
I love my Wave.
Not a gaming keyboard but works perfectly fine for it:
There is no need for a "gaming" keyboard, a mouse sure, but keyboards noo.
Logitech 650 Deluxe wireless. I don't like it. Unfortunately, I need a wireless keyboard ideally as a wired one wouldn't go to well with how my desktop is set up. I think I maybe don't like it because I've become accustomed to laptop keyboards and thin keys and such. Can anyone suggest a well priced, thin keyed wireless keyboard? :v:
:siren: UPDATE! :siren: My Saitek Eclipse II just came today, and I said I would review it when it comes so here 'goes. It's slightly tacky due to it's squareness and rather boring edges, and the Saitek logo is a bit intrusive at the top of the keyboard, but the wrist rest attachment makes the whole keyboard 62.5% sexier. It also allows you to change the backlight color from blue to red to purple with one button near the brightness knob. Speaking of which, the brightness knob is also SLIGHTLY tacky, but is very useful and functions excellently, providing excruciatingly precise control over the brightness of the backlight. It also has 8 buttons (one of which has already been mentioned) surrounding the brightness knob; skip forward, skip backward, volume up, volume down, play/pause, stop, mute, and backlight color. Now for the important stuff: FUNCTIONALITY! I can't say enough about this keyboard as far as functionality goes. It's the MX518 of keyboards. It's incredibly comfortable, very well-arranged, and extremely quiet. The keys are, for lack of better words, fluffy. You'll know what I mean when you try it. It's a good thing, and not only makes each keystroke soft yet satisfying, but does so while making this the quietest desktop keyboard I've ever encountered. The lights on the left and right sides of the keyboard really give it the extra boost of aesthetic glamor that it needs, and makes playing games (or doing anything on the computer for that matter) much more fun in the dark. Aesthetic: 7.5/10 - Has a mild early 00's feel to it, but the lights and wrist rest are sexy. Features: 7/10 - More of a media keyboard than gaming, could use an LCD display for system temps, but does feature some beastly backlighting. Functionality: 10/10 - All keyboards should feel this... this right. Economy: 9/10 - Very cheap, even for those with small budgets. For the quality and functionality of this keyboard, it's a steal. Overall: 8.5/10
There is no need for a "gaming" keyboard, a mouse sure, but keyboards noo.

...And those asking why you need a screen or macro keys are mostly jealous, they come in handy a lot once you have them. Now for a few general features. The windows key lock isn't useful to me, but a lot of people tend to accidentally hit the windows key a lot. This is a problem because some games it minimizes, some games crash (certain EA ones I know that much) and some don't do anything. But if minimizing/crashing with the Win key is one of your pet-peeves, this will be a save. The screen comes with a variety of applications, and you can make your own. Neat link with more about apps (there's a link to FP from here :v:) The programmable keys, if you cannot think of a use you are bound to discover one. Back when I played TF2, the G-Keys were very helpful with voice commands such as Help, Spy, Uber or even Jeers. Also useful for applications that require you to do something repetitive, or even coding. menu And, play-pause/stop/next/previous isn't even questionable, almost a standard these days. Backlight; you will almost need it because when the backlight is off, the digits are clear rather than white making them hard to see. The very first G15 would eventually wear off so you couldn't see the keys, but the chance of getting this early version is very slim. Almost all V1 G15s on the market were made after that.
^

This keyboard looks so nice and I really would like to buy it, that is if it can press more than 2 keys at once.
O hay guyz just ordered another new keyboard for curiosity's sake. It's a Razer Lycosa and I'm getting it because I think it's fucking sexy, but for some reason there's an anti-Razer bandwagon rolling through the forums. I'll review it just like I reviewed my new Eclipse II and get back to you.
The best gaming keyboard is a keyboard that works. Sure, it's keys may be faded out, but that only shows that you are a hardcore gamer

i really do not understand what that gap and curve design is supposed to achieve.
"Ecology" or whateve the crap they call it.
i really do not understand what that gap and curve design is supposed to achieve.
Neither do I, neither do I.
I think it's to stop muscle strain or whatever.
if you do not muscle strain how do you become manly [editline]10:19PM[/editline] more like muscle train. that's my nickname with the ladies.
"Ecology" or whateve the crap they call it.
You mean ergonomy.
Bah, close enough:zoid:
I'm going to buy a Logitech G19 because I think it looks pretty nice (I mean it's no Ferrari amongst keyboards, but still it's good looking). I can see myself using the LCD display as I watch alot of series, which I'd imagine the LCD would be great for. Also, I don't have a desk clock, lol. I'm currently typing on the G11, and I thought about getting the G15 V2, but the G19 overall seems like a nice keyboard. Yeah, it's pricey but I think it'll be a nice upgrade for me since I haven't tried using the G15 yet, plus as I said earlier, I'll definitely be using the screen. I also like the feature that allows you to change the background lighting, I'm the kind of person that constantly has to change stuff, like my wallpaper, redecorate my desk/room, and I'm sure I'll be changing colors constantly on the keyboard aswell  It's a great gamers keyboard for me. I rarely play games though. It looks really cool sitting on the desk in my opinion!
I still don't get it, why watch videos on your keyboard then on your monitor?
I still don't get it, why watch videos on your keyboard then on your monitor?
Because I don't run dual monitors, and when I'm watching videos/series on my monitor, I have to have atleast 2 windows in the same monitor, and it's pretty annoying. I watch videos while surfing etc. Example:
Oh, I usually have one window to the left and one to the right on a single monitor, but okay. I see your point.
How do you pay attention to the video while surfing? And even worse on that tiny screen? What do you mean erm... ghosting? Like this? GOSIG ISSUS OR A? ghosting issues or what?
How do you pay attention to the video while surfing? And even worse on that tiny screen? What do you mean erm... ghosting? Like this? GOSIG ISSUS OR A? ghosting issues or what?
I almost never actually look at it. I just listen and occasionally I look over at the video.
