i love my desk a lot. I need to clean up the left hand table soon though and I'm thinking of getting a mount that I can put on the back of the TV and then mount to the desk so it kind of hovers and it allows me to put my keyboard under it when I'm not using it.
TV: Haier HL32D2
Keyboard: Dell AT101W
mouse: Deathadder Left-handed
Mousepad: Razer Sphex
Computer: Gateway M7315u laptop.
ON the left you can see my condenser, PS3, and my Xbox. The main reason my area is so messy is because of those two. I had to move wires around a lot to switch between my PC and my games. Now I have a second HDMI cable so all is well. My desk is mainly messy because I recently re-ran my ethernet cables and replaced the ends on them and have yet to get rid of my tools.
every time anyone ever tries to defend their purchase of beats they bring up bass
wonder why
I've thought of getting them but never actually pulled the trigger. Are they really no good?
I have the same speakers for my extra computer. I should probably replace my old setup with them because my current speakers like to get quiet then loud at random.
That's the exact problem those speakers gave me.

too much low quality bass and way, way overpriced.
they should be priced around $70 for what you get

Have you listened to them yourself?

Because the way you talk makes it sound like you speak out of experience.

Head to the stores, Listen to them yourself. In the end you're the one that uses them.
Why do you have your subwoofer placed there and not on the floor.
Thanks :P

It's temporary, I need to shift some storage boxes from under the desk first.

For maximum bass to the face!
No, I don't know, my subwoofer isn't on the ground, it's on my desk, only because I kick a lot when I sit. Random kicks and twiches.

Could have been cheaper had i bought it all at once, but it's taken me about a year to get all the parts. :S

And it will be worth about $1500 within a year.
I don't get why people spend more than $1000 on a PC. I understand if you include the price of monitors and stuff but seriously....
My rig:
-8GB DDR3
-3.9ghz overclocked Core 2 Quad
-4x1TB 7200RPM in Raid 10
-Dual 5770's
Total Cost: $950
There's no way your rig is going to outperform mine so much so that it's worth spending 4x as much money.
Now granted, I did spend $1100 on my monitor setup...but they are high quality IPS screens I intend to keep for at least 4-5 years. Unlike my desktop which I will be selling (probably for a profit) within a year and upgrading like I always do.

Wanted to show a friend how I planned on spending the day, watching Starcraft 2.
Nice desk. What kind of headphones are those?
Also, DEM WIRES on the right hand side.
SteelSeries 5H v2.
Also, those wires are nothing compared to what I had a week ago.
I did some rearranging (to get my new bed to fit in the room properly. And I wanted a bigger desk).
I have way worse wires...

Also, on the headphones: I always see Optic Hecz(is that how he spells it?) using them/talking about how great they are. Just how great ARE they?
They're not exactly 500€ Sennheisers, that's for sure.
The sound quality is a bit above average, they're closed so not a lot of background noise unless it's really loud. I've had people yelling at me and I haven't heard them.
The mic is average, it handles VoIP fine. Retracts into the headset so when you don't need the mic, it's safe. Good when going between home and LAN parties, keeps it all safe.
If you have a lot of hair, you're fucked. For some reason, they just refuse to stay on if you have too much hair and start slipping off, which gets fucking irritating.
The cable is pretty sturdy, the actual cable on the headset is pretty short but there's a really long extension cable thing that comes with it. I like it.
Don't know what exactly to say.
For the price/quality ratio, they're amazing in my opinion, but there are probably better options.

They sound similar to the Tritton AX180's I use for gaming. Removable microphone, short cable is available. And they hate my hats. I wear fitteds, and wear them while I'm gaming or whatever. These fuckers just hate my hats. Even when the fitted is pulled down onto my head (how most people on Facepunch are gonna tell me I should be wearing it) they still want to slide off. Really throws me off during SC2 or some hardcore CS:S gaming. Here's how it looks:

It makes me sad because my Turtle Beach x1's were the only "gaming" headset to ever stay on my head.
Temporary Setup. Will be home tomorrow to take pics.

Was there any need for that?
what did you do to your x1's? eat them?
Ignoring the fat joke, and just for more proof Turtle Beaches are garbage, here's my experience so far with Turtle Beach headsets. Also, I'm a proud 386 lbs 16 year old, so haters gonna hate. :smugdog:
x1's: Best gaming headset from Turtle Beach I'd ever owned. Had it for a year, but at the 6 month point my dog decided to chase the cat the length of our house and the cat climbed up over my back, run across my desk and it then tore my Beaches off of their mount and they crashed to the ground and got broken. I was sad but I just duct taped them and used them like that for another 6 months until the communications cable broke. Said fuck it and went out to buy the new x11's.
x11's: Horrible. There was NO bass to them whatsoever. Even if you wanted bass you had to spend $79(same price as the headset) to get a Turtle Beach Bass pre-amp that had to take up one of your USB ports on your computer/PS3(I used the xbox headset with my PS3 and just used my USB condenser for a microphone for a while)/Xbox. Well, I used them for a week. The cable stayed on my desk, never got rolled over, chewed on(I chewed on my x1's cable a lot, no problems), or had drinks spilt on the headset. The headset was never dropped. All of a sudden the audio from games/iPods/whatever went away in the right ear. Voice chat was still able to go through both sides. I called up Turtle Beach and they told me that my headset was basically fucked and it was a common design flaw with that sku of headphones. So I got pissed.
Tritton AX 180's: They're amazing. Have double the bass and quadruple the volume of the Turtle Beaches. I can LITERALLY hear you pull the pin on a grenade across a map like Wasteland from MW2. They've saved me so many times in games. If you want a low-end Xbox headset, buy these. They should cost more.
But, of course, if you're a PC gamer, get yourself some nice Sennheisers and a clip on microphone.
