Simply amazing. May I go slightly off topic to ask how you got into your job as well as how long it took to get the hang of things. It would be great. I've always wanted to do this, but I'd like to try it out before I took any sort of college courses on it. I'd love to know dude, your work is amazing.

Thanks, well there are no barriers to entry into the market but it just takes dedication to get anything worthwhile done. I've been working in honesty for about two years now, but I've been modeling, mapping and doing texture art for games since 03'. I'm in University right now but for Fine Arts, so I'm trying to bust ass now in the summer to actually get some stuff done.
So what important developers or clients have you sold to that we would be able to see in games?

None that I know of, like I said I can't see who buys my stuff.
How funny would it be they make a Half-Life 3 or something and your shit is in it with no mention of your name anywhere.

It'd be my greatest honor, when someone buys something of mine, they buy the right to do whatever they want with it without credit.
I'm going to go to IKEA sometime in June and look for a new desk. Mine is very depressing.

Old pic, moving rooms today temp so I will have a rather strange looking L shape setup, will post pics later
Who actually buys that!?
My job is designing 3D game environments (it's not actually THAT hard, it's more time consuming than anything). And in reply to your question quite a few different people, mainly advertising companies, low/mid-budget movie studios, game developers, professional photographers, enthusiasts with to much money, matte painters. I'm sure there's more but it has an infinite amount of uses.
Ajacks how come all of your textures are so clean or some what plasticy? They all look like solid colors. Still you have artistic skills for modeling.

That appearance is just the result of a normal scan-line render in Max as well as being distant. Doing this modern city it is quite a bit cleaner and more colorful than you would imagine. Also they have no specular or normal maps yet.
Up close they have more texture to them.

I can't make everything gritty and drab like this, lol as much as I'd want to.

Very sexy textures.

Cone is a cone, they can't look different
Ajacks have you seen any of your models in a game or anything?

lol, I'll get it back on track with my new toy.
Just got my fancy new Ergotron LX articulating wall mount with extension for my Wacom, I absolutely love it! I can move it with one hand, rotate it 360 degrees, and anywhere I move it it'll stick and not move on me. Totally worth it!
Oh, also, it'd be on but my DVI-I extension cable hasn't arrived yet.

Triple Monitors + ATI Crossfire Is fuckin killin me. The only local places that sell Active DP to DVI adapters are sold out.

Incredibly sturdy, it's the nicest mount you can buy. It's solid milled aluminum with high quality pistons and joints. It's amazing, rotating 360 degrees and can extend from the wall almost 32" straight out.
My second table is a mess, I can't keep it clean since stuff is always being pushed around and moved when my friend and I solder in rapid fire mods in Xbox 360 controllers. On my desk you'll see my little robot project (Controlled by an Arduino), Blackberry bold 9000, 30 GB Zune, Razer Deathadder, shitty Microsoft wireless keyboard, some Bose companion 2 series 2 speakers, Acer Aspire One AOA-150, Dell S199WFP and Dell M780.
My okay desktop's specs are:
Intel E7500 (Dual core 2.9GHz)
4 GB DDR2
500 GB Seagate
1 TB eSATA WD External
Radeon HD 4770
Cooler Master Elite 330

I'm grateful for liking a tidy environment.

Ajacks, Do you use that touchscreen on the mount to model?
As i would not see how it would be more handy with a pen then with the mouse
Nice 5.1 setup

How much did it cost? Sounds and looks bloody expensive!
Nice 5.1 setup
Thanks. I'm waiting to get some cable so I can make extensions that go to the other side of my room so I can actually use it as surround sound. It still sounds good coming from in front of me though.

About $180 w/extension arm.
