I was convinced to buy a new mouse over my old Dell Premium one. I want one that's wired, comfortable, has back/forward side buttons and isn't too expensive. Also no gimmicky gaming shit.
I was looking at the Microsoft Laser Mouse 7000, but it's wireless (and I hate wireless mice, don't ask).
I've ordered the Logitech G5.
country/site/budget
UK/any/£30 max
in that case get this
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=KB-060-LG
unless you can find a G5 for under 30 anywhere, man I wish overclockers hadn't stopped selling them

You mean like this? To be honest it doesn't look any different to my current mouse:

I'm looking for comfort most of all.

Looks? You're basing your opinion on a mouse on looks? Just buy the G5, that's a great deal.
Looks? You're basing your opinion on a mouse on looks?
No, comfort. The one I have at the moment isn't very comfortable, so if that one looks almost exactly the same, it will feel the same.

Trust me, it won't. The G5 is one of the most comfortable mice out there.

It's a fairly large and heavy mouse though.
OK, I'll go for it. If I don't like it I could probably sell it for the same amount as I got it.
[editline]10:12PM[/editline]
It's done. £33. Thanks.

You will enjoy it.
I would have suggested the Logitech Trackman.
Imagine not having to move your arm when using the mouse.
I personally love it.
No repetitive movement injuries for me!
My brother got the G5 and constantly complains about how it gives him wrist pains. >.<

Is it not awkward for gaming?

Tell him to get a wrist rest or something. I've never had this problem.

tell him to either stop flicking everywhere at once or to get a girlfriend
I like the adjustable weights :3:
No not really, why would anyone need that?

comfort, just because you don't like heavier mice doesn't mean someone else doesn't
it's like asking why they would bother making a mouse in a shape to fit to your hand
Well, that website stopped selling the G5. So I thought fuck it, I have money to burn and bought myself a Razer Imperator.

I really like it. It's sexy, comfortable, fast and smooth. £60 was steep though. Very steep.
Isn't G5 discontinued?
Isn't G5 discontinued?
yep
[editline]09:42PM[/editline]
replaced by the G500

So basically you didn't need to make a thread.
The MX518 is £17 and it's exactly the same as the G5 apart from the weights (pretty much)
