And is it true the V1s are better?
I believe so

Note: I have speakers that I use for everything but chatting.
However, I need good headphones for LAN parties and late-nights.
Musical Tastes: Rock (Alternative, Metal, Heavy, etc.), Techno, Electronic
Other Notes: I also need a microphone for chatting and am looking for recommendations. A clip on would be nice, then I'll just tape the cables together or something for organization. I also wear glasses.
HD-25 II's.
Thanks man! How do they compare to the Allen & Heath Xone XD-53s? I've heard that these are equally good.
There seems to be a few different versions of them:
HD 25-1 II
HD 25-SP II
HD 25-C II
ect
Which ones should I get? I think the HD 25-1 II are the latest?
Also do you think I should get a new sound card for these? I'm using on-board at the moment.
Friend just bought Siberias V2.. what are they like compared to the razer carcharias? And is it true the V1s are better?
Siberian V2 is what I'm using right now, they aren't bad but they never really blew me away. After about 8 months though the bass started cutting out in the right earphone and I would have to tap it a bunch to get it to work again. They are pretty comfortable for a few hours but after a while they start to hurt a bit. They are decent for bass but again they never really blew me away.

Budget:
£100 / $160
Can you use Ebay:
Yes
Country:
United Kingdom
Isolation:
No solid preference, I prefer closed because I don't want to annoy people with my music, as long as the quality is good I don't mind.
Purpose:
Gaming: 55 percent
Music: 40 percent
Movies: 5 percent
Musical Tastes:
I mainly listen to Hip-hop, Dubstep and Drum and Bass so the low ends/bass are quite important.
No microphone required on the headphones, but if anybody has a good recommendation for a desktop/clip on microphone that doesn't suck and is quit clear then let me know, budget for that is £40. They also need to be sturdy as I have a habit of just ripping them off my head and dropping them, they should be comfortable too as I wear them for around 4-5 hours straight.
Ultrasone hfi 580 they are easy to drive so you don't really need to worry about getting an amp for them but you could put that extra cash into an inexpensive amp and dac to bring some more out of the bass which makes it tighter.
I'm pretty sure someone found out that all IEMs under a certain price limit use the same low quality driver from china. Except for brands with audiophile reputations.
Keep in mind I'm no audiophile. If I ever do get good headphones, it will be these $100 Klipsch ones I found in Best Buy.
Either way, I guess that means I need some reputable IEMs for like $30. Or perhaps any earbud. I don't like headphones for out in public. Earbuds are fine because they aren't a pain in the ass to carry around.
Also, where can i get like, pouches for earbuds? I found they're almost instrumental in good caretaking.
Are the Sennheiser HD595 good?
And if I get it, should i get this too?
So I just broke the ear clips on my ksc75s like everyone else, I'm looking for something portable for use with my phone (music n youtubes n thangs), hopefully decent but I'm mostly concerned with durability. I'm kinda hard on headphones - fall asleep with em on (especially when drunk), shove in pockets, play really loud, etc.
I also put them on at work (doing dishes) and kinda need to be able to hear if someone is yelling at me, so shouldn't be too terribly sound isolating and ideally I'd like to be able to only listen in one ear (as with buds/clip-ons). Clip-on would be ideal but they're almost certainly gonna have delicate fiddly bits and don't meet the durability requirement (I'm assuming), so I'll consider any style.
Oh and I don't really wanna spend more than $50-60ish, but budget isn't fixed
tl;dr Need tough, portable, non-isolating phones for mp3s/bullshit, fine with ebay, music = lots of metal/rock, fair amount of classical, punk, and rap, some electronic
Looking to go all out a new pair of headphones, I can spend ~$150, my only concern is that it ships to Canada.
Preferably no ebay, thanks

Steelseries Siberia V2
Its pretty damn awesome, plug that shit into an x-fi card, and you will have eargasms, I promise.
I know its a gaming headset, but I mainly use it for listening to music, and its got to be the best headset I've ever bought.

uh what? how did you break them? they're meant to pop off if that's what happened... you just pop it back on.

They have some of the best sound you can get from a gaming branded headset, and probably the best for one with a built-in mic, but it is still nothing compared to even a cheap pair of Sennheiser or Audio-Technica headphones.

?
And also, if I get those, should I get a headphone amplifier aswell?
Yes.
What do you recommend?
Any Fiio in your budget is an obvious choice, one of the Asus Xonar soundcards with a built in amp, or a CMOY amp from ebay.
Budget: $20-30
Can you use Ebay: Yes
Country: USA
Isolation: Open
Purpose: A little gaming, mostly music. I like alot of bass.
I prefer amazon for the store.
I have been borrowing some cheap headphones/earbuds over the past few months since my last pair of headphones broke. I was headed for a trip and I needed some cheap earbuds and I grabbed the JVC Marshmallows, they are AWESOME for the price, it beats anything I've ever used. On the trip some guy had some skullcandies and I listened to them and they do NOT compare.
Quick question, is it still worth it to buy the HARX700 or should I save up? These are working great, I got them for about $12. I'm thinking I should save up some more and get the AD700?
Budget:
<$60
Can you use Ebay:
No
Country:
Australia
Isolation:
I prefer closed headphones, because I go a lan every month or so, and i find they're more comfortable
Purpose:
I'll mainly be using them for games, but i also listen to a bit of music, mainly Ska. Ocasionally watch movies.
I'm tight for cash, and i've been looking at the sennheiser HD201's. they're $49 from JB hi-fi, and i was wondering if there were any ones that would be better in this price range. My current Sony MDR-XD100's broke, so i'm looking for a replacement for them. Also it would be good if they were a bit more rugged, i had my Sonys for about 3 or 4 years before they broke, and i dropped them regularly. I've got a desktop mic so i wont need one.

Should I get a Fiio amp or save up for a Xonar?

Sure why not

Reposting yet again, I really have to buy a headphone soon.

Xonar DG
Xonar DG
DG?
DG?
It's one of the models, the cheapest one.
I can't find the DG
[editline]26th June 2011[/editline]
there are these: http://www.inet.se/sok/xonar
The DX and D1 both have no amp.
there are these: http://www.inet.se/sok/xonar
You'll need to buy from somewhere else then, or get the Essence ST/STX
Or a FiiO but they aren't all that great and you would overall be much better off with a Xonar DG for the price.
