We speak with our hands. We wear the earplugs all our lives. PLEASE! You must listen! We cannot maintain the link for long... I will type as fast as I can. DO NOT USE THE CABLES! We were fools, fools to develop such a thing! Sound was never meant to be this clear, this pure, this... accurate. For a few short days, we marveled. Then the... whispers... began. Were they Aramaic? Hyperborean? Some even more ancient tongue, first spoken by elder races under the red light of dying suns far from here? We do not know, but somehow, slowly... we began to UNDERSTAND. No, no, please! I don't want to remember! YOU WILL NOT MAKE ME REMEMBER! I saw brave men claw their own eyes out... oh, god, the screaming... the mobs of feral children feasting on corpses, the shadows MOVING, the fires burning in the air! The CHANTING! WHY CAN'T I FORGET THE WORDS??? We live underground. We speak with our hands. We wear the earplugs all our lives. Do not use the cables!
Budget: Around $40, give or take. Ebay: Around Syracuse, New York Country: United States Isolation: Closed Purpose: I just want something to listen to music with on my phone. I don't want giant ones that go over your head, just small ones that go in your ear. I don't want anything giant, I wanna stuff it in my pocket along with my phone.
I got a pair of Sennheiser HD 595 headphones, I really like them. I'd like to get a pair of headphones that look good [editline]22nd July 2011[/editline] I got a pair of Sennheiser HD 595 headphones, I really like them. I'd like to get a pair of headphones that are better to wear out in public, though. Budget is $100 give or take, I'd like something good with bass too. Something kind of similar to the look of Beats, but not shitty would be awesome.
Somewhat related, since 99% of everyones' headphones here don't have mics: Anyone know any good desktop mics? I'm planning on using it for recording so quality is a must, however I'll also be using it for chatting and I don't want to blow too much money on it. Any recommendations?
Quality and too much money? My mic is god for recording quality. Forgot the price... MXL .006 USB
I've never used this thread before, but now I need suggestions. I've been using the Logitech Premium USB Headset 350 for about two years now, over which it has broken twice. The reason being that the cord often gets stuck on my elaborate glass and metal desk, and the wiring inside is pulled out of place. In now realize I need to switch. I want something similar to the Logitech headset, but with a stronger cord, so that this doesn't happen again. The Logitech headset design appeals to me because of its solid, lightweight plastic frame, and the cups are attached to the frame via ballsocket, which makes them very comfortable in my opinion. Budget: $60 max Ebay: If I have to, yes Country: United States Isolation: Semi-open Purpose: I spend the majority of my time using my headphones for gaming on my desktop PC. For music, I occasionally relax and listen primarily to rock and drum n' bass. I rarely watch movies on my PC, so as long as I can listen to music and the sounds of games in good quality, I'll be happy. Built-in microphone is a MUST!

Anyone have any suggestion for headphones I should get? I wore beats by dr. dre a few days ago and I thought they were great, but I know they are extremely overprice and I don't know what headphones (amp/soundcard) I should look into buying.
Uh, the quality of the Logitech headset was fine, so I guess I'll go with number one.
... Fine... Turtle Beaches.
... Fine... Turtle Beaches.
I looked at the three PC headset designs on the Turtle Beach website. The cords on the Earforce headsets don't look especially durable, and the Z2 is just out of my budget. That leaves me with the Z1, which has a microphone that looks... awkward to use. I don't want a microphone that can bend out of shape. I'd prefer something solid and curved, that I can pull back when I'm not using it, and have it remain at the same angle.

Well, the wireless ones don't.
Xbox one work with PC as do the PS3 headsets. Well, the wireless ones don't.
Sorry, I just don't like their designs... or their prices. Excuse me for being picky. I'm just trying to find something not too different from what I'm used to. If no-one in this thread can help me, I'll just go to my local electronics store tomorrow, and look there.
If you're only going to use it on the PC just get some good headphones and a desk/clipon mic

Been looking for a pair of wireless headphones to replace the pair ive just lost. I originally had http://www.amazon.co.uk/Philips-Headphone-Rechargeable-Technology-Black-Silver/dp/B000FQJMB2/ref=dp_cp_ob_ce_title_1 But im now looking at this http://www.amazon.co.uk/Philips-SHC8565-00-Wireless-Headphones/dp/B000FVVLW0/ref=sr_1_41?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1311414665&sr=1-41 I may just go back to the 8525 but not sure as they did last me a good 7 years. Anyone got any recommendations?
So many bad reviews... My Logitech had better reviews than that.
consumer reviews mean nothing, especially from the sorts of people who would buy headsets like this
The microphone does not work with the wii. The description that says "compatible wit wii" is deceiving. Don't buy it for wii!
http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-HD448-Closed-Circumaural-Headphone/dp/B002DGTGO0/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1311436368&sr=1-1 Yo, is this any good? If not, could you recommend me something that's around that price? My use would be like 70% gaming, 20% music, 10% movies. Then again it would be nice to have a new mic headset as my only mic is on the webcam and there's a bit of background noise on that one.
http://www.amazon.com/Tritton-TRIAX-180-Universal-Headset-Nintendo-Wii/dp/B002P77432 :colbert:
They any good? Might get those, or ones similar.
Just noticed, the old sennheiser 5x5 series has reeeeeally plummeted in price. Should be worthy of consideration, 515's are like $50 on amazon and the 555's are $100, which is especially nice considering you can mod them and all.
But... I don't want a clip-on... :frown:
Desktop mic then
