Bought a pair of Koss KSC75s a week ago. They sound fantastic, though I'm not a huge fan of the style. I found that the headband from this pair of headphones works with the KSC75, though it's an american site and will probably cost a bit to ship to here...
I bought a pair of 367s with my gift card, they are actually quite good. At first the sound sounded somewhat tinny, but it seems they got better after a while.
Sound wise there are moments where sound is low, not very detailed, but for the most part it sounds pretty solid, it has a nice amount of bass too.
The microphone is pretty nice, people over ts hear me very clearly and it picks up little to none background noise (and i'm in a living room atm)
Very good for the price imo, feel much more solid than my old 20 quid fatalities too, although I think those sound better.
The set also cover my largish ears, these things are massive but not heavy.

Bought the 367, it will arrive around Tuesday to Thursday.

They probably benefit from breaking-in. I'll be playing brown noise through my Grados for a week before I get them.
Can someone recommend me a headset?
Budget : 95$
Country: USA
Ebay : No
Isolation: Preferably closed
Purpose: A balance between music and gaming. Something good all around. 40% Gaming, 10% movie, 50% music.
Musical tastes: Check my last.fm account. Mainly electronic and thrash metal.
My main priority is something that will last a long time and is very reliable. My last 3 headsets broke within a few months of use.
A microphone is not necessary, since I already have one, but if you find one for me that does have one that's a big bonus mainly because my current one is p crappy.
Another thing I would like is the ability to use it on my PS3 too. I found my old turtle beach worked on both my pc and ps3 very well along with my 360 and I would like something like that
Reposting. Haven't gotten a reply yet
If you're looking for something fun and not clinical many would recommend the XB700's if you can spring another $5-10, they sound great out of the box and once you listen to electronic music with them you simply can not go back to other headphones.
XB500's are also a good choice but they require an EQ to sound as good as they can and on the PS3 I doubt that's an option, out of the box they can be a little muddy and the mid's drown a little too easy.
Although if you do get either of them beware, the high's are very smooth so it's easy to crank them up loud and still feel comfortable, don't damage your hearing.
But yes if you want a fun experience with electronic music and a "decent" sound stage XB700's are a great choice, you'll need a 3.5mm to USB adapter for the Ps3 though.
But if you do want a more clinical approach (not recommended for gaming nor eletronic) you can go with something like the HD555's.
Now that I've got new headphones, could anyone link me to a good audio-guide that shows how to configure effects, the sound card etc? I know much is up to the listener, but surely there must be some "good" and "bad" configs?
I'm just not naive enough to think it's good by default.

Fiddle with the equaliser until you find what sounds right to you - there is no right or wrong config, all up to personal taste.
What do you guys think about: http://www.amazon.co.uk/ATH-M50-Audio-Technica/dp/B000UVGI6O/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top?
They seem to be more or less what I'm after, but a second opinion would be great.
Few things I was wondering about;
-Are coiled wires any good? (I'm planning to go out a fair bit with these)
-Would it be a crime to use these headphones with an ipod nano/mini?
ATH M50's are good all rounders, the coiled wire is fantastic for portability and using outdoors and it will be fine in an iPod.
What's the best in-ear headphones in the sub-40USD range?
Gonna use them mostly for music with lots of bass, but also some occasional metal and games.
Flagdog can tell you the country, and eBay is not a option.
Also I need them to be delivered friday, since my current pair just broke, and I'm going on a vacation to compensate for the shitty summer, here early saturday.
Need something to-do on the airplane, other than sleeping.
Just got my K240's, so far so good. Right now I'm listening to Pink Floyd and these sound amazing.

I recall you saying the ATH-AD700's were your final choice

They look pretty good, my price range too. How's the bass? The mids?
What do people make of the Sennheiser HD280pro?

Both of those are terrible and will break very easily. Buy headphones and microphone separately, you'll get way more for your money.
what's the soundstage considered on the hd202's? very bad?
Maybe i in wrong thread, but need help choose better headset for mobile phone Sony Ericsson Vivaz it have standard 3.5 mm jack, or maybe you have thread about headset for mobile phones?
what's the soundstage considered on the hd202's? very bad?
They're very poor headphones, HD201 would be a better choice, not sure how the soundstage is on either, though. I don't recall it being anything special on the HD202.
use them as a clothesline
I was asking how to make managing them easier :v:
I've ordered a pair of A700s however when it comes to choosing a sound card I have no idea what I'm doing, wondering if anyone could recommend me one for $100 or less. If possible I'd like to buy one from MSY for convenience sake.
http://www.msy.com.au/default.jsp?category=126
I got a pair of Seinheisers for £10 secondhand, now I need some in-ear ones.
which ones do you recommend? (hopefully sturdy ones, as I break the in-ear ones quite easily)
Are these a good choice?

If not then can you link me to something with these specifications? :
Budget: 50-70$
Country: USA
Ebay: No
Isolation: Closed would be acceptable
Purpose: 40% Gaming, 5% movies, 55% music
Musical tastes: A wide variety of music, but I mostly listen to Drum and Bass/Dubstep
(If you find good wireless headphones for around 20$ more then that would be excellent)

that isn't even a headset
why are you looking at it
like, I can totally understand looking at crappy gaymen stuff if you want a headset, but that is just a pair of headphones

A friend of mine sent me that, I wanted to see if they were good or not.
and like I said, I'm open to suggestions if that is mediocre.

I can't think of any other closed headphones in that budget, but lower there's JVC HARX-700 which I'm in love with. There's also the nasty bass bloated XB-500.
