seriously? they look fine, they're plain and modern looking, rather than something a 12 year old would find cool. What are you expecting? some stupid crap like this?

Much appreciated!
My Sennheiser EH-250 s are getting a little annoying to bring around. I'd rather have something I can fit in my pocket (protected, of course).

You want to Produce music? Better get ready to let go of your scroogey side. 20-30 wont cut it if you want truly revealing monitors headphones.

If you're producing music, it'd be well worth the extra (I know it's a lot of extra) to get the ATH-M50s.
I just want something that can hold me over until I have enough money to buy some better headphones.

Then save that 20-30 you already have and scrounge up some head/earphones

You could get a refurbished pair of hd 205s also. I got a pair from these guys and they are really nice and cost almost nothing, they are closed which is a down side but they still sound pretty dam good once they burn in.
are the 205-IIs better than the regular 205s, and are the 205s better than the 201s?

I know a lot of people like HD201 for low budget headphones, and they're full size (circumaural) and the HD205 are on ear (supraaural).

Unless you have small ears like me. :v:
What's wrong with buying a headset? Apologies if this has been answered already.
Generally speaking, you will be easily able to buy a much better quality set of headphones and microphone separately for the same price for the little effort it takes to use a discrete microphone.
Are Razer headphones terrible or not?
I do not approve of the camo padding, red cord or giant XX written on the side but i do agree that sony's XB headphones are not something I would wear in public. Still those JVC's are only a small step up...
What's so bad about the XB headphones? They look rather nice.

They aren't terrible.. they aren't the best though.

Must be one of the most comfy headphones I've ever worn, the sound is just spectacular and the mids and highs sound so much more natural than the 700.
But the pads is just on the tip of being too big, they are comfy and all but it doesn't really feel that closed, compared to the 700.
The headset have just eaten through whatever I've thrown at it, and it seems to be hungry for more.
Sony did a great job IMO.

I'd say get JVC HARX-700 at that price, but if you're getting a good deal or something, go for it. They can't be that bad, Audio Technica are great.
I went to a local audio shop and tried some headphones they had on stand.
The had the 558 and the Denon D2000 side by side and I can tell you one thing. the denons were absolutely amazing. they also had a pair of marshal headphones which I though was weird. Strange thing is no body paid attention to those pieces of audio beauty, they all huddled around the marley, skullcandy and beats.
Marshall arent weird where perfect! i have a pair Marshall minor for my ipod Great quality
Just got home from purchasing some new headphones. XB-500s. Love em. The bass hits amazing and shakes my glasses even.
I just realized this thread was here.
Anyways I just bought myself an ASUS Xonar DG for $20 as my onboard sound is pretty simple, and I want to experience BF3 in its full glory.
I currently have a set of Steelseries Siberia's, and while decent they are getting worn. I'm wondering if theres anything better out there for the price range? ($50) Or should I just stick with my siberias?
I'm only interested in Over-ear headsets. I only use my headphones for gaming, I use my 2.1 system for music (and sometimes gaming). So in light of that, I'm looking for something that can produce pretty good sound, possibly good bass too if it doesn't end up killing the quality (my Steelseries has pretty unnoticeable bass sadly).
